I find the gloom and doom about The Dugout in this thread interesting. Not that the location is the best but people ARE finding them and with all the dance, gymnastics and Greystone Power that people have to pass The Dugout to get to there is a lot of exposure. Maybe folks should talk to David about how he is doing and his plans for the future????n Just sayin'. And, yes I am selfish in wanting them to stay so close to me!!!

I thought the amount quoted for doctor's and surgeons in the link was much LOWER than it actually is? And as to the debate 2 yr vs 4 yr I am not convinced anyone needs to have a 4 yr degree. I have a double BS in psychology and sociology. Several years ago a local TV station did a segment on the pay of state employees. I had 18 years experience + my degrees yet an Atlanta trash collector made more money/yr than I did. I have several friends who never attended college at all yet they have a trade and have done extremely well for themselves. Not to say a college degree is not a goo

We had plans to go to Pasta Bella last Thursday BUT.....our friends we were going to meet there from Heflin, AL suddenly moved to Gulf Shores over the week-end so dinner didn't fit in the plans. We haven't been to Marietta Diner in YEARS - just never think of it. And, we used to go to West Cobb Diner about once a week but there again it has been a LONG time!! Gotta go back to both soon! What is all this talk about the Godfathers??? Guess I've missed something?

He is one of the best and I miss seeing him on TV. I saw one way back in 1986. I was surprised at some of the things she told me that were right on - actually pretty scary. I have a friend who spent the day with Sylvia Browne and some of the things she told my friend have definitely come to be.

I am surprised a fast food restaurant wouldn't give an interview for someone wearing nice jeans. That is insane - in this day and time and especially in this economy. Not everyone would have dress slacks when they are unemployed. Don't they wear uniforms when they are working? So, it's not as though you'd need a wardrobe of nice slacks. Did they at least reschedule your interview??

Betty was the mother of my daughter's longtime friend and room-mate, Pam Willingham. Betty fought a courageous 2 year battle but cancer won the war. She was a sweet family friend and we are saddened by the families heartache and loss. Although there is comfort in knowing she is no longer suffering it is a tremendous loss for the family. Thoughts and prayers are appreciated.

A good family needs to rent a van for a trip

TRUE. -
There is one with the older logo of Big Al coming through the "A". I know there is a different style but I can't remember what the vendor said. They do not provide photos so I won't know specifically until we get them in. But, I will definitely be buying Alabama - our #1 selling school. I am hoping to sell all teams for $20.00. I am waiting on the wholesale price from the vendor. That will determine what I can sell them for. He had given me a price but I've found out looking at the price list he was quoting the receiving blankets and not the tapestry. They are not listed on this price lis

The response to my earlier thread posted for a Georgia Tech Baby Tapestry Blanket Throw has been overwhelming. As a result I am going to be getting in more of these for GT and other schools. If you would be interested just let me know. I am going to post the photos from the GT one again. I know Alabama comes in two different styles and although I'm not sure of the exact design of the other schools. But, if you are interested I can get a photo for that specific school. They are great quality and sell for only $20.00. Great baby shower or gift for a sports fan.

A good family needs to rent a van for a trip

FYI: The majority of insurance companies now require someone driving a vehicle to be added as an "authorized user". The owner of the van would have to add any of the family members who would possibly be driving the van during the 6-7 day trip to be listed in order to be covered. This would be an added expense for the person lending the vehicle PLUS IF they were to have an accident their insurance premiums would increase for a couple of years. (at least) The used van lot Pubby mentioned on Bus. 6 does have a "WE RENT" sign out front. -
I have to second Folks for the best fried chicken......YUMMMMMM!!! I don't care for the squash casserole but I don't like dressing and it tastes similar to me. BUT....I do enjoy their chicken!

It literally is called "BACKWOODS" for a reason - it is in the backwoods. The guy who owns it was laid off from Sony when it closed so he built it to employ his laid off friends and co-workers. Here is info: Backwoods Steak House (770) 574-7050 2386 Steadman Rd, Tallapoosa, GA 30176 We went the back way down Buchanan Hwy and it wasn't a bad drive at all. We met friends from Heflin, AL that we had heard talk a lot about it and it lived up to the hype!! They have a nice (small but very good) salad bar and they are known for their great steaks. DH got a ribeye and it was very goo

YES I am not sure but I can find out for ya. We met friends from Heflin, AL (Cleburne County where Graham, AL is located) at Backwoods in Tallapoosa a few weeks ago. (They have excellent seafood, BTW) During the evening the discussion of Butler's Mill being closed came up. I'll let ya know what I find out.

I agree.....negativity drives me NUTS!!!! DH and I were just talking about someone earlier today. She was unemployed and almost evicted - now all she can do is B*T*H about working ALL the time. WELL!?!?!? Add to that she is a hypochondriac and her kids can do NOTHING right. URGGGGGGG. About your friend who has too much food in her frig - there are MANY folks right here in Paulding county who go to bed hungry and will be glad to trade their frig for hers!

Ann, Did I get in on the 50% off?? Just let me know and I will be sending my order to your email.

If you are wanting to be outside for some nice photography shots try Cloudland Canyon, it is in Trenton, GA or Fall Creek Falls near Pikeville, TN. Pikeville is about 90 mins from Chattanooga. A few years ago we got a deal with Green Emerald Resort at Lanier that came with 4 free tickets to the water park and it was reasonable. And, we went to Mall of Georgia and took in some shopping and a movie along with dinner at Red Lobster. Made for a nice week-end. I am not sure if it is even still there or the price now. SUPER NICE tho.
