  1. I appreciate the input but......Now I am more confused than ever. I thought it was a radio to pick up the satellite radio stations and not for recording music??????
  2. Again, THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH!!! The kind words of encouragement have helped me get through this day. I appreciate it more than I can say!!!
  3. THANKS! That is what it would be used for. I mean HELLO? You would "think" a large metropolitan city like Atlanta with pro and college sports teams we would have at least one FM Sports talk station!!!!!! THANKS everyone!!!
  4. THANK YOU ALL SO VERY MUCH!!! All the thoughts and prayers are comforting. I am waiting to hear back as to the arrangements and we will go from there to figure out is it is possible for us to go to the funeral. THANK YOU my p.com family!!!
  5. I got word this morning that my brother Hugh went to be with the Lord last night. He went peacefully in his sleep at home. Although he never got a new kidney (his first kidney transplant failed after almost 10 years) and was on dialysis 3 times a week he continued to work at the business he owned, Tampa Appraisers. Hugh married his wife, Judi, right before being sent to Vietnam in 1968 and they had one daughter, Amy, and he had two grandchildren, 3 year old Presley and Owen, just a couple months old. Hugh lived life to it's fullest and loved being on his huge boat he kept in the Florida
  6. We will probably continue our family tradition of the last several years of going to Ryan's. DH, SIL and DGD's have always gone to AL for a huge lunch with his family and then come back for dinner with us. It was her suggestion about 3 yrs ago that we just go to Ryan's because DH and I would cook all the fixings and they would fry a turkey. The expense of peanut oil and the turkey plus all the expense, cooking, cleaning, etc of everything just for our two families was a lot. That way DH and I can rest and enjoy the day of football games without working in the kitchen all day. Now Christmas, th
  7. Boil chicken. Remove and tear apart. In bowl mix 2 cups milk, 1 cup flour and 3 teaspoons oil. Mix well. Return chicken to broth. Spoon in by the spoonful to boiling broth. Salt & pepper. The dumplins will fluff up. Very easy, quick and tasty. YUMMMMM.
  8. THANKS for all the info - shows you how much I know about it - I had no idea they had merged. And, I have no idea about the equipment, what to look for, prices, etc. Where would be the best place to look? I will definitely look into paying monthly. THANKS AGAIN!!!
  9. Thanks. I had completed a search before posting the thread and she has not signed in to p.com since April 2009. So, that is why I was asking if anyone knows if she is still in the area. Okay, Thanks for the info.
  10. She hasn't been on here since April 2009. I do not remember her last name. Have you tried the Chicken Quesadilla Explosion Salad at Chili's? It is very similar.
  11. Okay, I am not starting this thread to start any gossip, speculation, etc, etc. I am trying to locate Cheffy and see if she is still in the area. Last time I talked to her she told me about all the problems she and her family were enduring. I also know the other thing she did that was not good or nice. But, I know someone who would like to hire her for a job with good pay and great benefits. Her website is no longer active and the number is disconnected. So, I am not even sure if she is still in the area. But, if anyone knows where she could be reached, I would GREATLY appreciate it. TIA.
  12. If you have either XM or Sirius Radio can you please tell me why you chose the one you did and why you would or would not recommend it? Also, what are the monthly rates for the service? Or is there another satellite radio you would recommend? THANKS for any and all information/suggestions/recommendations. I am doing a little thinking ahead for Christmas.
  13. I received this information in an email and thought it might be helpful and worth posting since all the media reports are that the virus is spreading much faster than anticipated: Dr. Vinay Goyal is an MBBS,DRM,DNB (Intensivist and Thyroid specialist), having clinical experience of over 20 years. The following message given by him; I feel it makes a lot of sense and is important for all to know The only portals of entry are the nostrils and mouth/throat. In a global epidemic of this nature, it's almost impossible not coming into contact with H1N1 in spite of all precautions. Cont
  14. I plan to be there, too!!! It has been a LONG time since I've been to a lunch and I have missed my p.com peeps! See ya Wednesday at 11:30 at the Hiram Rodneys. YUMMMMMMMMMMM
  15. DH drives the 36 miles to his work in Buckhead every day and the commute is one hour - ON A GOOD DAY - it has taken him as long as 2 hrs 45 mins to get home!! So, when the same retail business opened in Paulding County and called wanting to hire him, he was very excited and said the same thing - he would be willing to take a pay cut to be 10 mins from home. BUT.......the offer was less than 50% his base pay. He loves what he does and has made friends with some really neat people in the TV, sports, etc businesses because of the location. PLUS.....he sometimes makes $200 - $400/week making deliv
  16. I haven't had any problems other than the fact I do not like their new yahoo.com page. But, no problems getting on. I would love to know how to dump the 15448 emails that are in my inbox!!! Yahoo provides an "empty" button for drafts, spam, etc, but not the inbox. Every time I try to empty it, one page at a time, it is a losing battle. I recently had it down to 12,000 and POOF - it is right back up. I get entirely TOO many emails!!!!!!
  17. WOW - God was watching over him and obviously it wasn't that man's time to go. SO glad no one was hurt.
  18. Poor Thing. Hope you feel better SOON!! I am not still up, rather I am back up. Tried to go to sleep without any luck. Not feeling the best myself. So, I just got up and got back online.
  19. WELCOME!! I have looked at some of the items. A former co-worker is/was a consultant and I was impressed with the items they carry. Best of Luck!
  20. Great suggestion. I had wondered the same thing.
  21. Heading to Fatbacks to get some of that Country Cooking. Probably fried chicken breast and fried green tomatoes. Don't know what else.
  22. Welcome to the Land of P.com - Enjoy!
