While at Jim & Nick's Hiram, who'd already graciously offered our officers a free meal, our officers had not 1, not 2, not even 3 tables but FOUR tables of patrons of the restaurant tell the waitress that they wanted to cover the cost of the meal for our four officers dining not to mention almost every other patron who entered came up, greeted and thanked us for our service and even a few who prayed over us for our safety. For that and the outpouring of support we've been receiving we are deeply grateful!

.Police Chief David Brown received a long and loud round of applause Friday before he spoke at a midday citywide prayer service in Dallas. Police work is a job where you seldom hear the words "Thank you," he said. Hundreds of residents who packed Thanks-Giving Square Park in downtown Dallas replied with a resounding "Thank you." After the service, which featured remarks from faith and civic leaders, musical tributes and prayers, many of those in attendance stood in line to offer their personal thanks to men and women in uniform. Soon, everyone began hugging. "It’s overwhelming," s
