  1. When someone says they said all they have to say and then come back to say more? What revenge do I want? I listen to racists rant behind closed doors all the time. They sound a lot like you until they find out I won't tolerate it or ignore it.
  2. For the record, I don't think he should have been fired for his father's sins. Just like I don't think minorities should be excluded because of the sin of being born a minority. The smell of racism in the morning repulses me. And this thread is filled with it. I don't know if his father taught him to be racist. The root of racism is ignorance and sometimes you have to root out that ignorance. Did this father say and teach other racist things to his son and teach him to conceal his beliefs from the public as some of you may have done?
  3. You only bolster my point. He learned there were consequences for using that phrase and he stopped using it. If there were no consequences he would have continued on using it. He can point to nothing in his life where he attempted to make amends or better himself for the sake of humanity. He didn't even say the usual, "I can't be racist, I have black friends".
  4. That you wouldn't provide a link to your definition of the phrase is very telling about you. You revealed the part you wanted while concealing the rest. The phrase "uiqqer in the woodpile" has racial connotations and is not a harmless phrase but you would even attempt to pass it off as one is revealing about you. As I said before, you can hide your words but minorities can't hide their skin. And in this instance you consciously chose to hide a link to your supposed definition to conceal it's full origin. There are other variants and all have racist connotations. Thanks for giving the w
  5. That is the true guilt of the situation. Some white folks are afraid they'll get as good as they gave so they think they need to keep up the oppression so it doesn't happen to them. As long as it doesn't happen to white people you don't care who it happens to. So the best I can tell, you share the belief that, "Sorry you were born a minority, sucks for you." Your fear of their reaction is potentially telling about your own vengeful nature. Looks like you project a retaliatory mindset because you have one. Minorities I have met never spoke of any retribution, only restitution. You can't eve
  6. May be if Daly had tried to make amends for his prior conduct he could help his son. He didn't even say he was sorry until his son had to pay a price. If his son didn't pay a price for his sins, he would never have bothered to apologize. Who the hell is he apologizing to anyway?
  7. There are people who weren't born when their fathers were born Black, LatinX, Muslim, Jewish and they are still discriminated against. People don't ask to be born non-white but they are still discriminated against. How much outrage have you shown for the injustice done to them? :fool: You think minorities can afford to pay for the sin of being born a minority? You think they chose their lineage? What has Daly's father done to make amends besides say sorry 30 years too late?
  8. I guess he knows what the guy feels like that doesn't get a sponsorship because his dad is Latino, Jewish or Black. You can always hide your words but you can't hide your skin color. What does it mean when people are more tired of hearing about race than they are tired of racists committing racist acts?
  9. Birds of a feather- Speaking of "SQUIRREL!" Can always count on a troll to try to redirect the topic. #baghdadbetty
  10. Actually, NO... #baghdadbetty
  11. Politics is the reason you keep trying to divert attention and hijack topics. You aren't serious because you don't create your own thread and offer solutions.  #baghdadbetty
  12. So glad you see the NRA as part of the problem and not part of the solution. You've turned over a new leaf. I never thought you would be a proponent of common sense gun law reform to plug the holes. Good for you. #baghdadbetty
  13. So you're saying people from the cities you listed aren't NRA members?
  14. The size of a knife you are legally able to carry in public is restricted. Bombs have restrictions. Cars aren't made for the purpose of killing but they have restrictions. Guns are anti-personal weapons. There should be common sense restrictions on them as much as there are on knives and bombs. Are you saying that gun violence is cultural and there are people who are inherently violent? Or are there socioeconomic and other contributing factors?
  15. Are you saying gun violence and the NRA are synonymous?
  16. And what caused the people behind the guns to become a problem? The problem doesn't start with them. They don't manufacture guns or bullets. They don't own retail shops.
  17. If y'all were legitimately concerned you'd start a topic about it. Is dying not deserving of it's own topic? Or is it just your way of distracting from the topic at hand because it is a topic that is damaging to your partisan politics? In reality, your interest in gun violence is as disingenuous as you are. If you really cared you'd be interested in common sense reforms to existing gun laws to close legal gaps.
  18. The topic isn't about gun violence in Chicago. It's about the NRA. You want to talk about gun violence in Chicago start your own thread.
  19. Don't worry, CPD put out a bait truck in a low-income area to address the issue. #BaghdadBetty https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/nation-now/2018/08/08/bait-truck-video-shows-chicago-neighbors-confronting-police/936516002/
  20. You're already a member so you should probably sign up someone else.
  21. Shot across the bow of Agent Orange? "These charges are a reminder that this is a nation of laws and that everybody stands equal before the bar of justice," said Geoffrey Berman, the United States Attorney for the Southern District of New York, at a press briefing. "Congressman Collins, who by virtue of his office helps to write the laws of this nation, acted as if the law didn't apply to him. The charges today demonstrate once again that no matter what the crime or who committed it, we stand committed in the pursuit of justice without fear or favor." https://www.usatoday.com/story/
  22. You don't have to join to make a donation but do hurry. They need their coffers filled for the coming election cycle.
  23. Thoughts and prayers are with the NRA. But they don't need them. Their Russian membership dues will keep them going.
  24. China vows retaliation if ... https://www.cnbc.com/2018/08/01/china-vows-retaliation-if-trump-slaps-25percent-tariff-on-200-billion-of-ch.html
