  1. I don't think Honkin' was here when I joined. I do remember a few members from back then. I remember one who moved. She had a name that started with an "L" ...
  2. If I shut down my computer then do I have to go back and click on each optional forum and give the password--- to see those posts when I click on the Recent Topics button? It looks like that is the way it works for me.
  3. Thanks. Why would it be there when the thread it was in originally is still in the Internet Cafe? I copied it and pasted it from post no. 2 in this thread which is still in the Internet Cafe: http://paulding.com/forum/index.php/topic/285163-personally-attacking-someone-is-not-a-good-idea/
  4. I posted a thread in the Internet Cafe about a talk show host mocking victims of the tornadoes. Where is it?
  5. Thanks. I checked The Battles forum and used the search feature to see all posts. There are 10 pages. There were a lot from 2005.
  6. That was before I was a member. What kind of things would lead to such heated discussions?
  7. I started a thread a couple of days ago in the Internet Cafe with this video on Herding Cats. I thought it was funny but someone made a remark and it was sent to Pauding Place. No one else posted that they liked it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pk7yqlTMvp8
  8. You say that Paulding.com "is not Pubby, myself and moderators." It seems to me that by it's very nature it would have to be a combination of the members AND you and Pubby and the mods. A community, a city, or a country may have a majority that wants good, but the citizens look to someone with authority (law enforcement in that case) to keep things more like Mayberry than the Wild West.
  9. There's a certain amount of division on p.com/ that I haven't experienced on other message boards. One member who posts a lot posted: "He didn't diss me or any of my friends." Meaning it is ok to disrespect any other person---just not her or one of her friends? That's what it sounds like.
  10. I was just going by the spelling in the title of the thread. After I opened the thread I saw it was about belles.
  11. I haven't seen the show. When I saw in the thread title, "Good Christian Bells," though I thought of this and was surprised that Lowrider seemed so excited. Edited To Add: The thread title had read Bells. I see Lowrider has corrected it now to read Belles. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z4Av4NBqwJE
  12. It's really well written. Can anyone think of any past series that compares---with the twist and turns, etc? (I'm wondering if there have been any others that I've missed and could watch now.)
  13. I got out my AJC and looked at the ad after posting. On the back of the ad there is a coupon for $5 off a minimum purchase of $30 at the Hiram store. Limit one per family.
  14. Does anyone know how much of their produce comes from the USA? Do they have anything that is organic?
  15. They're showing a low of 28' for Monday night at www.weather.com/ I have a few plants I will cover up.
  16. I haven't looked at the newspaper today. Are the produce prices the same as the online ad? The online ad for the Douglasville store has strawberries for .79 a package and navel oranges for $1.49 for a 4lb. bag plus several other good buys.
  17. Here is a link to their local ad. 20. I don't know about this location but concerning the Smith Sales on Hwy 92; a couple of years or so ago the family members that worked there said that the father was retiring and it would be the son's business. After a while they said the son would no longer have the business and that a woman that had another closeout store (I believe in Austell) would have a store at the former Smith Sales location. I haven't been in there lately though. I found some things I could use at good prices when it was Smith Sales. I've only been in a few times since it changed owners and don't know the latest.
  21. Are any Wilton items made in the USA now? I would like to see more kitchen items made in the USA. I found a NordicWare muffin pan that was made in the USA not long ago but so many brands are imported from China now.
  22. Dumbestgirlintheworld, when I read that I felt sad.
  23. I had never heard of the money, dress or gloves part. From Wikipedia: Folk Traditions There is a popular tradition in some countries that a woman may propose marriage to a man on February 29. If the man refuses, he then is obligated to give the woman money or buy her a dress. In upper-class societies in Europe, if the man refuses marriage, he then must purchase 12 pairs of gloves for the woman, suggesting that the gloves are to hide the woman's embarrassment of not having an engagement ring. In Ireland, the tradition is supposed to originate from a deal that Saint Bridget struck with S
  24. I don't have the answer but on their website it shows a store in Hiram. The grand opening is listed as March 8 so it may be open. Here is a link to their local ad.
