Gleemp, thank you for your concern. I do like to explore a lot of ideas and enjoy reading about the different ways people have found to benefit their lives, the world, etc. Do you grow plants? I've posted in the gardening forum quite a bit.

It's really difficult to know how to respond to that. Yes, I started that thread. And you think that means all of those statements you made about me? I asked about a church. And I do like natural and alternative methods like juicing, etc. but you really read too much into too little. It seems you hold something against me on the basis that I asked about a church that prays for the sick. It does nothing to harm you.

You don't know me. I have no idea where you came up with some of your statements---some are really out there. Stick to the issues--not disrespectful "dear" distractions and other comments.

Just Thinkin' Hard, much of the world's resources are wasted or overlooked or under developed.

One new concern is that Monsanto has genetically engineered a variety of sweet corn intended to be eaten by humans. (I edited the thread title so people that haven't heard about it will know.) This is from Mother Earth News: The Threats From Genetically Modified Foods Genetically modified foods and crops pose serious threats to human and animal health, but Big Ag doesn’t want you to know that. By Robin Mather April/May 2012 Glyphosate, Roundup's active ingredient, has been linked to birth defects in birds and amphibians, as well as to cancer, endocrine disruption,

Toxic: According to a recent study published in the Journal of Applied Toxicology, Roundup and the Bacillus thuringiensis (Bt) pesticides are toxic and they both cause direct damage to the kidney cells. http://www.belmarrahealth.com/weight-management/how-you-might-be-secretly-destroying-your-kidneys/

Guns Drawn Against Raw Milk? 3 Arrested.
ButterflyLion replied to ButterflyLion's topic in RECENT TOPICS
LPPT, please show me if I missed something but I didn't see anything about anyone getting sick from the milk that was destroyed, According to sources on the internet there are certain legal ways to obtain raw milk, i.e. owning a "share" of a cow, etc. This was a membership only type of place. I believe the reports said the government said they needed some type of license that they didn't have and because of that they were raided. -

And there are many food choices. Resources are going to genetically modified foods that could go to other options. -

It doesn't sound like it was that simple for this farmer who was growing wheat for his own use: It all starts with a farmer named Roscoe Filburn, a modest farmer who grew wheat in his own back yard ... One day, a U.S. government official showed up at his farm. Noting that Filburn was growing a lot of wheat, this government official determined that Filburn was growing too much wheat and ordered Filburn to destroy his wheat crops and pay a large fine to the federal government ... http://www.naturalnews.com/030799_food_freedom_Wickard_vs_Filburn.html -

Look what the government did with stevia: Political controversy In 1991, after receiving an anonymous industry complaint, the United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA) labeled stevia as an "unsafe food additive" and restricted its import.[33][63][64] The FDA's stated reason was "toxicological information on stevia is inadequate to demonstrate its safety."[65] This ruling was controversial, as stevia proponents pointed out that this designation violated the FDA's own guidelines under which natural substances used prior to 1958, with no reported adverse effects, should be generall -

I would like to see more whole foods in the marketplace. Some want other choices. How much control should the government have regarding food choices? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wYJIhyjVdho -

There's no problem. I noticed you said "There are good reasons for not going that route." I just wondered if you thought raw honey was bad. I choose to use it as I said. I hope the FDA doesn't decide to ban it. -

I was referring to the part of the video that mentions things that can't be sold (other than raw milk). -

For those you mention on p.com: I don't drink any milk---raw or otherwise. I'm more of the peaceful sort so the idea of the guns being drawn was one thing I found troubling. There are lots of things about the dairy industry that are troubling, too. The part about some other raw produce products being prohibited at farmers markets is something I wonder about. -

Yes I can read. I am not an authority concerning raw milk but isn't it legal to consume raw milk under some regulations? -

Changes need to be made. Watch the video. You'd suspect they were doing a drug raid. The regulations are now prohibiting other types of raw products being sold at farmers' markets. The raid in the video was at a membership operations---not for the general public: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b27EFldZ17k&feature=related -
Three were arrested and $10,000 worth of raw milk was destroyed: This article is from the Forbes Magazine website. I do wonder how far the government will go. She must have been gifted. I had a veterinarian who was gifted. Sometimes he would just walk into the examining room and say what was wrong with one of my dog's before he touched them or did any lab work. He passed away not long ago. He was a blessing to me and my dogs. Dr. Hill, you are missed.
