Because of crap like this. Yeah, use a horrendous murderer as an example and then suggest that's what DD would have done. Wow. And some people will fall for this.
-
I don't know, I am a wider load than I was in my 20's. Lol. I will change it back eventually. A name is nothing and it only offends you if you allow it. That's why we teach "sticks and stones will break my bones but words will never hurt me" to children. Because it doesn't really matter unless you are trying to make a mountain out of a molehill, or make people agree with your politics over a BS reason. I wouldn't have been able to film my response if someone called me that to my face, but I wouldn't have held onto it as a big hurt or political issue, either. Total straw man. I am worried a

I'm proud you didn't know that. How you can be a member of pcom for so long and not know until now is beyond me.

I think some people think "ass" is a curse word and "@ss" isn't.
-
Haha. You bet your @ss.

Isn't that a good thing? I would think the GSP is more concerned with us being safe motorists than collecting our money in fines. They always say, "Drive safely" when they are through issuing a ticket. Should they say, "Haul ass so I can make up for the budget deficit" instead?
-
I'm sure the GSP would deny that. lol.
-
It's the slick tops, or low profile, GSP that I see. They aren't marked on the front. They ARE marked on the side and back, but by the time you realize that, it's too late. I don't speed in Laurens county, Forsyth, or Macon because they will get you.

Did you agree to back off? What if DD sees this thread? I know you are a pistol, I just hope that doesn't backfire. (haha, lame, had to) I do have a question for you. I know you are mad at DD, and I can commiserate because I had a similar experience in Paulding (NOT with DD). What if he is the best man for the job? Would you vote for him even though he pissed you off personally if he would be the better DA for this county? No, it's like saying her attorney already made a deal with DD and she is probably violating it. OK. I don't care so much about any this, just watch you

I have a great attorney. He gave me a couple of good pieces of advice. 1.) Shut up. Don't run your mouth. You can bitch when everything is settled, until then, shut up. 2.) Somebody has to lose. Once issues have been "settled" with a court order, let it go unless something really groundbreaking occurs. It makes judges mad as hell to have someone continue the legal battle after they have made an order. I am saying that if there would have been a real issue, the GABar is the place to file a complaint. There is recourse. Did that happen in this case? Is there a complaint filed with the GABar?

The title of this thread is "Pubby hate." Pubby was accused of bias, he presented his side (the video) and has been pushing a first amendment issue and belaboring the point about the poor single mother being attacked. I have concerns for the poor single mother. She isn't a pushover and is posting as her conscience dictates. That is commendable. I don't feel she is a victim, she is posting of her own free will. I do feel she is being used to promote Pubby's first amendment issue and I worry about what could possibly happen as a result. From what I can tell from other threads, after DD s

“A trooper can write a ticket for 1 mile over the speed limit,” Wright said, adding that local police agencies can write tickets only for drivers going at least 10 miles over the limit. This is good to know. lol. I can live with 5 over or 7 over. “They have issued 30 brand new unmarked Dodge Charger police cruisers and are bringing in all of their part-timers on full time.” First of all, Wright said, GSP doesn’t have unmarked cars. I see unmarked Chargers (silver) all the time with people stopped on HWY 16. If they are marked, it must be on the back or in really small lettering

I did this on purpose. Not one comment. It is my own personal proof that this is politically motivated. Nobody cares when someone is called a name, not to the extent seen here. While it isn't polite to do, and I am sure other people in the county share my opinion, it wasn't a big deal. DD is still a private citizen. He has not been elected to office and is not representing the county. I'm sure he will learn to bite his tongue after this. I am thinking of changing my username to "Molehill." What was said about DD wasn't just an opinion. A fact was stated in regards to him alledgedly not fil

I changed my name and I am still the same person. It is a non-issue. I have one personal concern regarding how the DA's office is lagging. I have a friend that was arrested for something and then wasn't charged (it was several years ago). He applied to have his arrest record expunged over a year ago. He is still waiting. Why does this matter? He can't find a job because they run his record and see that arrest. It isn't in the public's interest to be so far behind.

I was OK with it when the thread was started in the political forum. It was presented as a personal matter. But Pubby brought this to the front page and included a video that had apocalyptic, subliminal messages included and made it political. He made it seem like Donovan's comment was a political attack and not just a snide comment. He is purposely confusing people with his personal vendetta. I just don't think it is fair to smear a campaign based on two individual's grudges. I don't even have a problem with you posting your opinion, you are an individual. Pubby is playing journalist and atta

Haha. You'd have to reach his balls first (can't believe we are discussing this, lol). He looks tall. I know you are on the free speech side. I know he irked you with his unkind comment and warning one of your board members, BUT you kinda went into all-out warfare against him (and honestly, y'all started it). If you are the press, you can't do that in good conscience. I felt bad for the guy and stepped in to defend him because I think media should encourage people to make good decisions based on the issues and not inflammatory, gossipy stuff like child custody battles and dry humor. Plumley's literature says there is a low conviction rate for jury trials. 98% is not low, so I don't think those are the correct numbers. Does anybody actually know (as in not hearsay)? From Donovan's site (just now looked, see, he's not my best friend): The Circuit Public Defender’s Office, which is mostly young lawyers right out of law school, has a 70% success rate against the DA. I really hope this isn't the case (unless we are wasting time trying to prosecute innocent people).

Hahahaha You don't even need to go to the polls then. We saw 2 minutes of video and heard one side of a personal story. Did Pubby kick DD in the nuts right before the video? Did WFAL heed all her attorney's advice? Who knows (and honestly, who cares)? Please stop making me defend an attorney. Lord knows if this situation were reversed he would be sending me a bill.

It's not WHO everybody votes for, it's WHY people vote for someone. I don't know DD or DL. I try to stay as far away from criminal prosecution as I possibly can. You are right that I honestly don't really care either way, my sense of fair play just kicked in. I can't believe people would cast a vote just because someone got called a name. It wasn't even that bad of a name and I can think of five worse ways of saying "wide load" right off the top of my head. I feel the candidate is getting screwed by this situation. If he says anything in his own defense, he is a bully. If he doesn't say a

You are certainly prone to hyperbole and emotional outbursts. You should run.
-
What is Paulding's conviction rate? If you don't know this single piece of information, you are voting on personality and your opinion only, not on anything factual.
-
At least you admit it. I think this way of voting is very common. That's why our elected officials are about as useful as Miss America. We often view campaigners as contestants and not the protectors of our rights and way of life that they should be. I'm going to need to see DL and DD in a bikini before I can make my final decision. Would this be a bad time to list everything I've called Pubby that wasn't caught on camera?
-
Why? Should any voting decision be made lightly or be based on irrelevant issues such as personality? If we keep treating hometown decisions as popularity contests, we will keep screwing ourselves.
