Water... stream/river surrounded by trees, grass, and bushes = "snakes". Lots of them, actually. But, take comfort in the fact that most of them don't swim through the water when there's a bunch of people tubing around them...

From what I remember learning about snakes, most snakes have immunity to other snake's venom. That's how large King/Rat snakes are able to kill and eat Copperheads, etc. I think the only way one snake can kill another is through fang bites or just squeezing them (which I would think would be hard since they're both slithery and able to get out of odd positions).

There was a guy who had a literal video setup in his car who did a whole site on "tard" drivers. He had photos, videos - everything. Site: http://www.tardsite.com/ He hasn't updated it in a very long time, but he left it up so folks can still look at it.

FYI: We were at a stop light when I took the pic. Due to traffic she wasn't able to "advance" the way she wanted to, and got caught by the light. Though it sounds kinda "Opeyish", I really don't talk on the cell, text, or use my camera when I'm driving and in motion.

This morning: Approx. 8:55am going West toward Hiram on Highway 278. Driver was a black female with glasses, around late 20s to early 30s driving a Mitsubishi. Zig-zagging in and out of lanes, and rapidly driving up to people's bumpers within inches before braking and maintaining that distance, causing several people to brake out of caution while she was in front of me. Looked like she was rushing through traffic while also using a cell/texting - not sure on that, though. License was from Cobb, but again, headed toward Hiram (maybe she works out that way?) If you know her, tell her

No, haven't been in there. Every time I go to Dahlonega the place has lots of folks inside waiting for stuff, so I bypass it. Plus I eat lunch when up there and start walking around, so would have just eaten, too. No more room for ice cream. LOL. They obviously do a good bit of business though, which is great for them. Regarding other comments about Helen: I thought Helen was neat in the early 1980s when I moved here, but over time it just seems tacky, now. I think it's great how a small town that was nearly dead went and did what they did, but think they should modernize it some a

I hear the Silver Comet Trail is a popular place to meet people these days, too. sorry - had to.

Ok, something different (sort of). You're low on money, sorta low on gas, and don't have a lot of time. But you have to get away from the house and neighborhood. Where is your favorite "day trip" destination? By day-trip, it has to be someplace you can leave in the morning to get to, spend the day doing stuff there, and then be back by dark (summer hours dark - 9pm). Post a pic or two of the place but don't go overboard so it doesn't get moved to the photo forum. ahem. I'm listing two favorites, though: 1) Dahlonega 2) Chattanooga

I even think they cleared the way for someone to be able to use a gun on MARTA intown if they feel their life is being threatened, so regarding earlier comments, heck, I think these days you can even be in a restaurants or just walking down the street and if you have a REAL reason to feel someone is about to do you fatal harm, you can shoot them. You'd just better be able to prove that you thought there was "cause", though. Ask a cop for more info.

Did it look like this by chance?....

You need strippers. Then you need to close 11 of the 12 Wal-marts there are in a 10 mile radius.

The Marietta Festival is this weekend as mentioned and here's a link for the info/times per your request: http://www.mariettaga.gov/calendar/calendarview.aspx?id=811 Geez, had to pull the teeth out of Google to find the info, too. They're so anti-atlanta up there they refuse to list the event with most of the usual festival listings like accessatlanta, etc. Had a hard time even confirming it was going on. LOL HERE is a list of other stuff going on through June, too.

My neighborhood sounds like Iraq on the 4th each year - with tons of illegal and legal stuff going off in 100 different directions. I have to give a couple of my dogs prescription meds to calm them down it's that bad. The next morning it's common to find parts of "rockets" that have been shot off the night before. If people are stupid enough to do that this year anywhere in the area (and yes, they ARE), you can expect to hear fire engines all night going from here to there. Have a camcorder ready - if any neighbors are setting them off and you wind up getting damage to your property vi

Each area is different right now. Here in Powder Springs they've put a complete ban on ANY type of sparkler, firecracker, whatever on personal property. $250 fine if you get reported / caught. The downtown 4th of July fireworks display is still on as the fire department will be there on standby in case anything should happen, but the cops will be out IN FORCE looking for anyone setting them off themselves (at $250 a pop - no pun - they can earn $$$ on those fines, too). Some other towns have banned them, some have also postponed their own fireworks displays. It's best to contact the
