  1. black, leather boots........... ...that I spent an obscene amount of money on last year... :yahoo:
  2. This was fantastic advice. TY to the poster for sharing . BB, I have added your family to my daily prayer list. The only experience I can share is that God WILL give you the wisdom you need and the peace that surpasses ALL understanding.
  3. for REAL! Oh, wait...was that out loud? ...eh, hmmmmm..uh, I mean I just need a jar opened, that's all...seriously, really...that's all I meant .
  4. C'mon with the genius one's here, Pcommers!

  6. those are GREAT, WB. I do wish I had more so I could help more people. Nothing makes you feel better about the world than to help others and want nothing in return.
  7. I agree! Even an adult has no business walking across a highway like this one everyday. It's dangerous for the drivers too.
  8. Good for you! Keep it up. Smoking is the most disgusting habit. You are literally adding years to your life by quitting(and youre saving money too!)
  9. If I couldn't drive him, I would figure SOMETHING out. This is insane. Even at 17 yrs old now I still wouldnt.
  10. Just did, Marc and will request it in church in the a.m. I will continue to pray for you. God is already there.
  11. yeah, I didnt get any either...pfft. Oh...wait
  12. Thanks for the reminder. I love that place(and all thrift stores). I'll go by next week and dive in to see what I can find. And, you're so right about the childrens books. When my son was younger, I loaded up on them from thrift stores. My son always knew that was the one place he could have any and every book he wanted and would get so excited .
  13. I wondered what the parents looked like, too and found their mugshots on AJC.com. Their jail cells had to be nicer and cleaner than their home and that's pretty disgusting. The article says that social workers claim it would be "very difficult" for the parents to regain custody.I'm glad they were discovered before they got any older. In a lot of extreme abuse cases, the child is a teen or an adult by the time they get any help at all. I wish I could take these two little girls. With the right care and therapy, they still have a chance at a good life.
  14. soup chickens, bullets,no flood control, do you know a good vet? dentist? salon?, :::bubblegumsunglasswearingsmiley:::, Mayberries, The Tunnels(whats the hold up, by the way?), Walking Tall, whats for dinner, please buy my overpriced REALLY ugly crap I dont want anymore, who wants the dog I paid for but cant keep?, sticks...the Bible and a tambourine...mods...Subby and Pubby...anybody have any to add?
  15. I agree, Animal. It's a horrendous thing to believe ANYONE could do to a child(not saying he is guilty)and it's hard for any of us to REALLY think about. But, again, the child should come first and if anyone knew and didnt disclose it because of the election(or any other reason), they should be prosecuted. God help this child and this family.
  16. This is similar to Squatter Rights in some ways which has to be one of the craziest laws on the books. They move in, have mail sent to them at the address(te law actually says that) and stay a certain amount of time(usually 6 months) without being reported, they actually have rights and it takes time and attorney fees to get them out. Happens usually in abandoned building, warehouses, rental properties that no one checks on frequently. Absolutely nuts.
  17. I have read all the above posts. Lots of good arguments on every side(and a few crazy ones, too). But I have to agree that the child comes first and ANYONE with ANY knowledge at all MUST step up and speak out and do EVERYTHING they can to get to the truth and to protect and help the child. This story reads like a John Grisham novel set in the South. It's always the same when you get to the bottom of it...power, prestige, money, accusations, cover up, pulling strings in the "good ol boy" system(which Paulding knows a WHOLE lot about). It's just disgusting to think that this COULD have been cover
  18. Yep it does. I've been on a beer kick lately. Never gives me a hangover, is so good when it's hot outside and is alot cheaper than vodka. Ugh, I won't be doing that again for a very long time.
