Thank you Dondra. That was so sweet and thoughtful of you and your mom to come last night. Moma was so proud to see ya'll and she just saying that she hoped ya'll knew how much she loved ya'll and she is so sorry not be able to be there and help ya'll right now. Never in a million years did I see us in the horrible spot but all I can do is continue to hold on by knowing that daddy & Airvie did get saved and we WILL see them BOTH in a much better place and they will both have new bodies and not have to suffer ANYMORE!!! We will just have to keep reminding ourselves that and continue to pray

Thank you all so much for your prayers during the short battle of cancer with my father in law - Slim Hurley. As you have already seen in several threads we lost that battle on Saturday evening and he is in a much better place. My father is now on the verge of passing at any minute and it is so hard on my family. We are very close and need to be in two places at the same time to say the least. Good morning everyone...I would like to ask as you start your day to please say a prayer for my father in law. They have him scheduled to go down for surgery this morning at 0830 and the surgery will be at 10:00. He had a rough night as he is very anxious and scared to say the least. I ask that you pray for peace for him before he leaves the family this morning to go in for surgery and of course prayer for the surgery to be successful. His name is Airvie Hurley but most people in Paulding County know him as "Slim"--please continue to remember our family in your prayers. He will be having surgery tomorrow-they can't tell us what time but he is having it for sure because of a blockage in his neck. They have determined he has an 80% blockage and that is the reason his heart rate can not be controlled. This is a very scary situation for us to say the least...lots of thoughts running thru our minds with the thought of surgery but we are trying to stay positive. My mother is very sick with the swine flu. She was diagnosed on Tuesday and they did give her Tamiflu. She has had very bad week and is still not much better. She is coughing really bad and becomes short of breath very easily. It is nothing to joke about. She has had a high fever off and on and of course is miserable and hurting all over. She has also had the nausea, etc with it too. I can not imagine anyone being much worse than she is and surviving so she is definitely one of the exceptions to it not effecting the elderly as seriously. I feel sorry for anyone that comes down with this. Pleas

RIP Clyde..you will be missed. I pray that God will grant the family the peace that passes all understanding and the strength to make it through the days ahead. I feel so sorry for this family....his dad was so sweet and trying to console everyone else at the funeral home..I am not sure he even grasped that Shannon was gone at that point. The mom was so pitiful and she tried so hard to be strong because that is what she said Shannon would have wanted, and all they talked about was getting to raise the grandson and that would help them because he was "just like his dad".
