I have heard that Samsung has a tight control on the parts and software, and they only allow certain service agents access to them. So you might be stuck with Factory service, unfortunately.

What most people call crushed ice is actually flaked or nugget ice. It is actually produced in either flakes or nuggets by the machine that freezes it. Actual crushed ice is now rare unless you make it at home from crushing cubes. Commercial ice makers is one of the things I do.

Also important is the temperature of the ice. Water freezes at 32 degrees, so freshly made ice from an ice machine (not trays) is not that that far below the freezing point. Even the bag ice from the small freezers at C-stores is not that cold. Put it in your freezer at home (zero F or so) for awhile and it will be colder. Of course, it will stick together because the wet exterior of the cube will re-freeze.

Or filter the water before putting it into the ice maker / trays. Part of the cloudiness is caused by mineral deposits in the water.

When something is economically feasible, the government doesn't need to subsidize it. Private industry will make the investment because it has profit potential. As of yet, photo-voltaic energy is not profitable on large scale. The government uses our tax dollars to push it because they think it's green energy. But in reality it's not that green.

Photo-voltaic power is still more expensive that conventional power generation. The only reason they can quote these figures (that will probably not pan out) is because of government subsidies. Meaning....the federal government is subsidizing it with even more borrowed money. Only in the illogical mind of a Socialist is this something to be excited about. But someday the efficiency will high enough to make it economically feasible.

Actually, most of the reaction is not from what is actually happening, it's from the statement Sessions made. Democrats seized on it and have made it the latest attack on Trump. From what I read, the separation thing is not nearly as bad as it's been made out to be. My biggest question is why the people who are outraged at the thought of ripping a child away from it's parent are not at least equally outraged by the forbidden topic here? Answer - It's political. This whole mess is political.
