I didn't say racism was dead; clearly there are still pockets of it. My statement was that white supremacy is largely a myth. Black people have broken through the glass ceiling all over, including the White House. 'Course, some politicians don't want this to be true. They want people to be dependent upon government.

And, they you go with the Christian bashing. I say what I believe. If the Republicans share some of my beliefs, then that is good for them. Clearly, it's hard for many of you to grasp the concept of people having their own thoughts, as opposed to allowing a political party to tell you what to think.

All that happened two and a half centuries ago. And the civil war was about economics, not directly about slavery. The slave issue came about because the sound had an unfair advantage over the north because of slave labor. The north was poor and the south was rich, and the nation was taxing the south heavily to support the north. That's why the south wanted to secede from the union. This was the very catalyst that brought about the freeing of the slaves. So something very good was born from the civil war...black people were set free. It is a part of our history that reminds of mistakes

White supremacy in this day and time is a myth created by the left and certain groups to control people and cause division among us. We had a black President, black secretaries of state, countless black CEOs of huge corporations, successful black actors, etc. There is nothing now that holds a black person or any person back except themselves. There's not a single law still on the books that makes a white person supreme over anyone else. What I said above, Postman, was that we need to love EACH OTHER. Though I agree with the intent of the law, it is poorly written and will leave a lot of discretion up to the officer, which can be problematic. The new law says your phone must not be supported by any part of your body. I can see that being extended to cover your phone in your pocket. The language even makes it questionable as to whether the built-in Bluetooth systems in cars is acceptable, as it calls for an earpiece or headset, I foresee some amendments to it coming.

Even the driver can make and take calls, but it has to be using hands free technology. And the phone cannot be in your lap or supported by any part of your body. Presumably, even being in your pocket while driving is now illegal. And that's a habit I'll have to break. The newer phones have software that can do all that hands free. Siri, Google assistant, Bixby, etc. They aren't perfect, but with a little practice they can work. I use google assistant all the time.

Individuals can pray quietly, but it can't be an organized event during school hours. And a school employee now has to leave their 1st amendment rights at the edge of school property.

Did anyone else notice how pubby used the term "right wing terrorist", and then associated church with it? All you need do is read pubby's posts to see who and what he really is. His ideals are right out of the Communist Manifesto. Fact is...freedom has been under attack by the left for decades. They took prayer out of school, they've perverted the 1st Amendment to restrict religious freedom, they are doing their best to overturn the 2nd Amendment and take guns away, Eminent Domain, they want to confiscate more and more of your income, they've passed laws stating that rainwater you collect i
