"archangelinga" (that's: Archangel in Georgia) is my husband, and FRHarris04 is my daughter.

First off I shop at all the local Thrift Stores, I buy food at the cheapest grocery store in town(Sav-A-Lot)Little Bucks and Big Lots. If it's not at these places or Dollar General then Honkin and the family don't need it. Generic labels will not kill you to eat em. Coupons at the drive thrus and any place I eat. I donot go to the mall, cant even remember what year I did last. I only buy what is on sale in the sale papers too.
Me neither. I hate the mall. The last time I went all I could find were either "old lady" or "teenage slut" clothes. I was so mad! I do all that other stuff, too, but I haven't quite gotten the hang of the Thrift Stores. I don't know which ones to go to or what to look for. It just seems kind of overwhelming to me.

Im not rich but could ya shake it one time for us anyway?
Shake that MONEYMAKER BAYBAYYYYYYY. Hey Gabelle, do ya think we could put him to work in THE DOG HOUSE for grand opening?
Freebird youl left this question so wide open the whole city can fall off into it. LMAO
Only if my husband can be part of the "festivities" himself.
Freebird: Is this the way you meant for your topic to go?

To put it in perspective, imagine over half the residents of Paulding Co. completely obliterated. Sobering.
-
GaBelle, are signing up as number one on the car wash list?
Only if that includes inside and outside.
-
Well, I am still not giving him any money until he does something for it.
-
Ya'll are crazy. Make him DO something to earn those dollars!
-
HA! HA! HA! Hubby has already said if it is Atlanta VS Pittsburgh we are going no matter what! Sure hope he gets a fat bonus...
*But hey, Freebird, there's always your "former" profession to fall back on.

Actually, Eddie, in the Catholic Church we do celebrate the Feast of St. Peter the Apostle on June 29. It is not quite as big an event as Christmas, but it is considered a Holy Day. I am putting a link to St. Peter's history in the Church from a Catholic website.

My husband did a wonderful job this year. A while back, I mentioned that I would like to have some ametheyst earrings. Not only did he get me 2 pairs of earrings, but a bracelet and a pendant to match! I was so thrilled. Thanks, Sweetie.

Amen, girl. I am a Dec. 26 un-decorator myself. I have had this paraphenalia up since the day before Thanksgiving. Now it must go!

Both of my parents went to high school in Fulton Co. with Mrs. Peck, the grandmother. I have met her on a few occasions myself. She is a beautiful and caring lady. From what I understand, she has spent much of her life devoted to her family. I was in utter shock when I read the name. Lord, we pray most fervently that you might afford her some measure of peace, as well as the parents.

Merry Christmas, Angie.
From: The Holycross Family- Mike, Rhonda, Felicia, Michael, Ian, Jesse, & Nataly.
Have a good one.

Thanks, Mikey. I read the entire document. It certainly gave me cause to gear down and just meditate. Peace is our collective responsibilty.
Peace to you, too, our Mountaineer Brother...

I got in Wal-Mart around 7:30AM. It really was no worse than a regular Sunday, but they are out of so much- gift cards, video games, toys- people were already getting cranky. Don't go if you don't have to.

St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church will be holding it's Christmas Day Mass on Saturday, Dec. 25 @ 10:00 AM. This is a Holy Day of Obligation for Catholics (meaning you HAVE to go) and also one of the most sacred masses of the liturgical year. If you are Catholic, lapsed or otherwise, please take this opportunity to visit our Church. If you are not Catholic, please come and experience this most Holiest of days. Fr. Adrian is a wonderful priest and he will have all the pomp and circumstance for this one. St. Vincent's is at 680 West Memorial Dr., just past the hospital.

Twenty years ago I would have said, "A Corvette." Got one of those in my 30's and eventually traded it in for a mini-van. Nowadays, it would be a toss-up between a 1978 Trans Am (Bandit Edition) or a new Volkswagen Passat.

Not very nice..

My daughter's (FRHarris04) is also January 10. Bless her heart, she never gets many birthday presents. Most people just hand her the Christmas gift and say, "Now this is your Christmas AND your birthday."

What JBoogie said, but also, I would wish that both mine and my husband's respective ex's would just grow up, leave us alone, do what they are supposed to do, and let us enjoy our kids.
Sorry, that was kind of a vent. Just had to get it out.

We always say we are going to go to Tamarack somtime. Maybe I can talk him into it this go around because, well, West Virginia is for Lovers, you know.

Us hillbillys are right nice people if ya let us be.Honkin, you don't know hillbilly. Trust me. I'm from the land of hillbilly and UMW camo. I know hillbilly. There isn't a true hillbilly within hundreds of miles of Dallas.
GaBelle and her hubby- my Pennsy neighbors-- can back me up on this one.
Yep, them West Virginians is hicks of the highest order!
-
GABelle-- you didn't think I'd overlook this one, did you?! The West-by-God-Virginia mountains are the most beautiful in the east coast! You should be envious that your husband will be passing thru that wonderful wilderness! I just hope he's on the watch for the thousands of deer hanging out on the highway! I'm pretty sure they're staging an uprising around this time of the year.
Nope, I knew you'd have your WV sonar homed in on this one! Actually, I will be going back up with him next week when he takes them back. We'll be spending our anniversary (Dec. 31) somewhere around Beckley I imagine.
I'll be thinking about you when we go in the Giant Iggle!
Hey, I thought my mother-in-law made that up about the "West-by-god-Virginia Mountains!"
Glad you made it there safely, Clawdia. Have fun with the snow.

I spent most of my summers sittin by a big wash tub and shelling pees shucking corn snaping beans and so on.
Me too!! Shelling peas was pretty easy when you had one of those tools with the teeth on it to split the hull open. My mother had to watch me with the beans, though. I always left too many strings! Cutting okra ("okrie" for you, Lady Raider) was the worst! Better have some gloves on or you'd be itching for a week! I always swore I'd never have a garden when I grew up and I don't, but I'll jump at the chance for a mess of silver queen corn or white half-runners.
What is your favorite classic album?

There was a group back in the early 80's called: Red Rider. They only made one album, I think- "As Far As Siam." It rocked though, and I wore out at least 2 of the cassettes. Not many people have even heard of them.
I'd also have to put Elton John's "Goodbye Yellow Brick Road" in my choices. I can still listen to "Bennie and the Jets" over and over and over again...
