    When I did volunteer work at the local high school, Coke donated or contributed to the score board that advertises Coke. For that reason we could only serve Coke products in the concession stand.

    It is quite a challenge because MOST of the teenagers today are allowed to get away with alot and if you're a parent that does not then you are viewed as evil. My son and daughter thought I was evil at one time, but now see it was really love. You will be amazed at some of the things that young teens are allowed to do. Stick to your guns, be consistent, and good luck!!

    Yes, as I posted above. The new location is in the strip mall right next to the old location. Go through the Waffle House parking lot at Florence and 278 and it leads to the strip mall where the salon is located.

    I know! My son went walking around the neighborhood tonight until 9: 30 and my DH was all worried and had the keys in his hand and was going to look for him :lol: I had to remind him that he's 14, he's around the neighborhood and if he was in trouble the police would bring him home! He's a good kid and you got to let go a little. He just ask what happened to his little buddy with the Johnny Quest fishin pole :huh: :cray:

     

    Just wanted to share, my son is 23 and I still have his very first Snoopy fishing pole. It is bittersweet watching them grow up and "find their wings." Each new chapter in their life is exciting, yet sad for Mom. They don't need us quite as much anymore, but that means we did our job well. He called a little while ago and wanted to make sure how to make gravy for biscuits. He is a great cook and is making breakfast for his girlfriend and their family in the morning. :wub: Okay, I have to hush now the tears are starting to flow. At least my DD is coming to see me tomorrow. I can't wait!!!

    Cracker Barrel had them last year, but I haven't been there lately. You could just call and ask. I also googled it and found several, they are not cheap though. Good luck!!

    Typical. Positive topic no one reads it but if the topic said "Why the USA sucks" everyone would read. Everyone is so much into what's wrong instead of what is really right.

     

    So true!! We all need to stay positive. The media is a huge factor, they always seem to focus on the negative. Their is a Special Report on right now about Wall Street being at a five year low. It sickens me that they actually seem to get excited when bad news is out there.

    We had a flood in our house yesterday. It's a looonnnggg story, but today we had Servicemaster out and they are ripping up floors and carpet. We have a huge mess!!! I had to move my computer and need it very badly for school. Since I moved everything the color on my monitor is all messed up. It is all a bluish tint with no distinct colors. Can anyone tell me what went wrong and how I can fix it? Thanks!

    If they would get rid of that annoying Elizabeth I might watch but she just doesn't EVER shut up!

     

    Elizabeth doesn't hold a candle to Joy!! :p Joy is the most obnoxious woman I have ever listened to. She has so much hate for the Republicans because they "stole" the election. She just can't seem to get over it.

    I finally picked up my CD from Subby on Friday as I was heading out of town. Things have been very stressful lately and I'm sick of hearing about politics. We listened to gospel music the whole way and just relaxed. Subby has so much talent and his music is very relaxing, we enjoyed listening to his music so much!!! We went to visit my son at college and meet his girlfriends parents. IT was an awesome weekend and got off to a great start thanks to Subby!! Thanks man, hope we get to come hear you play soon.

    Then why make Obama the focus and not the problem itself which is crazy extremists nutcases and parents who allow it to happen? Seems unfair to blame Obama so directly. Would you blame Bush for the Jesus camp kids?

     

    I thought I was focusing on the people that wrote the song and put this together. It was not just the parents, and you are right, crazy, extremist, nutcases. Again, I just don't understand putting hope in someone that has done nothing for this country and does not have the experience to take us forward.
