  1. I thought I was the only one who does not want the heat turned on. Not unless it is below 62 degrees in the house.
  2. I agree with you and I hope they all find peace. He did the right thing for all concerned.
  3. I think it will soon be water under the dam. I believe it is playing its self out and the Party does not NEED to make a public statement. Leave the man a little dignity. Why can't you, if the end result is what you want anyway? I am speaking of you personally.
  4. Just heard Karen Handel call for him to step down. I have said that I expect him to do the right thing and I believe that he will. It is just a matter of time. He is a human being and he has been our Representative from Paulding for quite some time. I agree that folks should not "kick him while he is down".
  5. I'm with you on that! There can actually be dyes still in the material that can make some folks sick. I always wash everything before it is used or worn. Sorry this happened to this child.
  6. I agree with Rep. David Ralston. His comment is copied below. I hope and expect that the Speaker will do the right thing. “I trust that he’s going to make the right decision and he will make it in the right time,” said Rep. David Ralston (R-Blue Ridge), who last year unsuccessfully challenged Richardson for the speaker’s position. Asked what the “right decision” would be, Ralston said: “I think he needs a little bit of space. I trust he’ll do the right thing.”
  7. I added a string of flashing lights to mine. I plugged them into seperate outlets.
  8. I suspect they are. I doubt they will do it in public though. Not at this point.
  9. I think it WILL, if it is proven, and it plays out the way you believe it will. You used the word appears, and I agree with that. Until action is taken by the legal community, the legislature, or ethics committee I don't think the GOP should step in. If it does happen I will be the first to say they need to speak up and stand up. I don't think we can judge this situation without having all of the proof and information. I agree that it does not look good.
  10. We do need to remember that Congress ordered the Mortgage companies and Banks to make loans to people who did not qualify. They came up with what they called creative financing. The folks signed the loans and took the terms. You can't protect them from themselves. Not unless you want to intrude on their freedom. It was a house of cards created by our government trying to make sure everyone had a chance to own a home. We are now paying the price.
  11. WHITEY, I think this should be handled by the proper authorities, if it turns out there is something to handle. I don't think the Republican Party should step into this at this point. Right now this seems to be a disagreement between a husband and wife. I think there will be time to decide where you stand as a voter as well as a human being. Right now I think we should let this story unfold and find out if he has done what he has been accused of. I will be praying for their children and I truly hope the Speaker gets the help he needs. I can tell you that if this is true I will not def
  12. I can tell you that Gary Gulledge would never condone such behavior or be a party to it. Must have happened on somebody else's watch.
  13. I don't claim perfection in myself either but I can tell you that if he is threatening Susan that puts things on an entirely different level.
  14. If he sent those threats to her then it can be proven. Not good. Yes, it will need to be faced and dealt with.
  15. I won't defend that kind of behavior. I think I have stated many times that the Party should clean it's own house.
  16. I agree! If the Mortgage Company complied with California law and they had the documents to prove it the judge is obligated to interpret and apply the law! If they did not, then the folks who occupy the house must not be the true owners anyway. Who does legally hold the title and warranty deed? There are a lot of things I have thought were unfair in judicial rulings but that is why it is said that "Lady Justice is Blind"! Feelings should not trump LAW in the courts. Giving the house to the folks is not the answer here. uncovering the real story is key to a proper legal decision. JMO
  17. I feel sorry for the folks who can't pay their mortgages but guess who pays when they don't. The stockholders do, that could even be companies whose employees have their retirement funds invested there. I would not personally want to deal with a company who would not negotiate with people in this economic climate but the bottom line is that they signed for the mortgage and if the mortgage company did not break any laws they should not have to give the house to the folks who promised to pay. They gave their WORD that they would pay. When the courts start taking property away from those who
