You are right Madea. It was in Powder Mill Subdivision. Two teenage boys about 16 very badly burned when a pot was pulled off the stove. It contained hot grease. This is so sad. Prayers for these boys.

They will be reporting on it shortly on Fox 5 news.

Just heard on the news (Fox 5) that 2 teens were burned in a grease fire. 278 had to be shut down while they were air lifted out. Anyone know if they are OK?

Just what do you think the new Senator Brown from Massachusetts did and check out Marco Rubio in Florida. Last time I looked he was 12 points ahead of Charlie Crist in the polls. I like folks who stand up for what they believe. I think you or LTD would make great candidates.

I second that. Right now the BOE is looking at less funds coming from the state and they are facing teacher furloughs. In my opinion they need to be working on impact fees and outright cuts to the budget. I have said before that the Paulding taxpayer well is dry. Taxpayers won't take kindly to an increase in taxes by the BOE or the BOC. JMO

I agree. I will be choosing my candidate carefully and he will not be part of any special interest group. I expect to see more candidates step out in the general election. It will prove to be interesting.

I really did not mean to open the last election up for debate again. I just said I would not discount the former Chair's opinion in this matter. I have no clue who he may or may not support but I did pay attention to his opinion about the importance of picking the right person for this seat. I found that I get to vote in this special election. I will be very careful about my choice. I believe the Republicans are trying to address the issue of jobs with the Jobs Act of 2010, which has just been introduced. The man we send to the House will most likely have a voice in this.

Folks can say what they wish about the way Jerry handled the job they gave him in Paulding County. It is certainly their right. I think it would be a huge mistake to discount his take on an issue like the one above. Our voice as a County does not need to be weakened in Georgia. Jughaid made a comment to BB that I found so reprehensible that I won't repeat it. It was not only offensive to BB but in my opinion it was offensive to women in general. I had a bad break in my leg and went through something like that. Just getting that much done is an achievement. It was a great day for you!

His failure for the first year of his 4 year Presidency may very well make him more of a lame duck than anything else for the next 3 years. I believe he will be a one term President and he will top Jimmy Carter's failure at the job. That is really quite hard to do too. JMO Whoops! Sorry BB!!

Let's just say I disagree with your take on almost all of that and leave it at that. I really wish I was in more of a debating mood and we could discuss it some. I think this thread was more about the harm bad info could cause one of our own sons here in Paulding. I just think we all need to be sure before we post things. It can be a trial to serve the people sometimes and very painful personally. That keeps some of the very best people out of the race. They just don't want to deal with it. We need them.

I think you could go back a couple of years and you would find Bush's name in there instead of Obama's. I doubt you had a problem then. I like to see you in the political forum though because I have actually learned a few things about Paulding politicians from you. I think this thread is a lesson to us all though. We need to know facts about people and be sure of them before we post them.

They seem to like us. We are very proud of them and spend every moment that we can with them. Hey, we have that Nickelback CD. Grandson introduced us to them.
