BOC stops speakers from addressing them ...
NewsJunky replied to surepip's topic in Paulding County NEWS
I would think that it could put the Commissioners in the position of having to speak to the issue, or possibly the appearance of doing so. They are probably just covering their bases here. -
I have taken it for years with no side effects. My doctor does insist on the name brand because the generic is different.
-
Yes, I put one of the names in my thread asking that very question.
-
Thanks for the info!
-
Prayers for your Sister.

Watching "Human Target" and it looks good. I really liked the lead character when he was in "Boston Legal"

I agree!

I like them all but this is my favorite: Prefer a loss to a dishonest gain; the one brings pain at the moment, the other for all time. ---Chilton

I will certainly pray for that.

Oh, I agree with all of that. Just know that we will care for them for a long long time especially if they are children. I think the post I saw said that all expenses will be paid to folks who take them in. I just wonder how many of Wednesday's Children are waiting in line already that will never be placed now. I think this is different than Katrina. It will open more government jobs though. Pretty soon they will be the only jobs out there, so I guess for some, that will be good news. Can't help it, I always worry when I can't find good solutions to very sad problems.
-
I share your opinion about this. My feelings are mine and I own them. I guess we will see new jobs open in the government to handle all of these folks we will care for now.
-
These children will be placed with DFCS won't they?
-
How many children from DFCS have you taken in?

Glenn Richardson's Resignation Official Today (AJC)

He does not live in the district. That is what I was told. -
I would say Parents who allow the TV to baby sit their kids might just have a hand in that. MTV might have helped! Political figures like Obama hold the Hollywood elite up as folks to be admired and listed to. Young people tend to pay attention to people like Obama. I think he distanced himself from Jeremiah Wright because of his (Wright's) contempt for America. He did not even attend a church service on Christmas. Funny that he sat in the pew listening to that vile message for years and only stopped going to that church when he was in the middle of his campaign and he was forced to.
-
Yep! You said it very well. That is exactly what I was trying to say.
-
I thought there might be some tongue and cheek there but wasn't sure. I do think there is a huge difference between politicians spending us into oblivion in the guise of charity and an individual giving what they can to help another. On second thought I have to agree with you LPPT.

At least he was well liked. We as a country have always stepped up to help and most other countries do not love us for it. I don't care how much we give it will never be enough to make them love us.

I am just going to go there and say

I am so sorry. I saw the reports about her on TV. She was a wonderful giving person and God must need her in Heaven to care for all of the little ones who went there too. My prayers are with all of those she left behind. -
I disagree! We are not the world's keeper. We are fast losing our wealth and the power we once enjoyed. I have an opinion about who is to blame but that is a discussion for another day. We should not be creating a third world country for our grandchildren. That is not very responsible. We can't take care of others if we can't take care of our own first. We will just end up with more and more we CAN'T care for. How does that help anyone?
-
I think it is another example of some folks in America thinking that we can care for the whole world. I feel very sorry for these little ones but I am also worried about the future of my Grandchildren and whether or not they will be able to find a job and pay to take care of all of these children. I think we need to help but I am not sure to what extent. Our boat is sinking already. We have a huge amount on our plates trying to care for all of the needy already in America.

Looks like some folks are already trying to move Haiti to America! Is this what you want? http://www.nbcmiami.com/news/local-beat/Operation-Pierre-Pan-Starts-at-Miami-Hospitals-81767767.html Miami advocates are pushing to relocate Haitian children to the U.S. Some of Haiti's most fragile - its children - have arrived at Miami area hospitals and for a few, Miami may become their new home. So far, 23 patients from the earthquake have been treated at Jackson Memorial Hospital, with countless more likely to be airlifted from the island for treatment. Florida Sen. Bill Nelson has c

I saw some Chinese who were sent in with their automatic weapons! Is that the kind of help you want to see? Yes, these folks are starting to fight for survival and it will not be pretty. It will take a little time to get to them. No I won't blame Obama like some blamed Bush after Katrina. I think everything that can be done is being done. If you have paid taxes then you are already helping. Your prayers will help too. I have no doubt of it!

As I understand the situation the areas in need can only be reached by helicopter. The roads are not passable. Unless somebody on pcom owns a helicopter and has the means to get it to Haiti I don't know what we could do, other than donate to organizations who can get there, and pray.
