  1. You are entitled to your opinion. You work in the system don't you?
  2. It really is all about school choice. Not just choices provided by the folks that control education now. It will only make Public Schools better.
  3. No they do not. I do not know where you get that information but it is not correct. According to one estimate public schools counting the money local taxpayers contribute get about $9,700 per student. Special Charter Schools would not get the local tax dollars. Local school boards are not obligated to provide local tax dollars for the special schools This is in an article by the AJC quoting Senator Chip Rogers: http://blogs.ajc.com/atlanta-forward/2012/08/25/school-funding-fix-budget-basics-first/?cxntfid=blogs_atlanta_forward With voter approval, based on 2012 funding, traditi
  4. No he isn't and neither are you. Charter Schools ARE public schools.
  5. And some have decided to stay netural where they had come out against before. John Barge is on the wrong side of this and I think it will cost him. Link to Gwinnett Chamber of Commerce backing off its opposition to the matter: http://www.gwinnettd...tay-neutral-on/
  6. Picture I took of the Blue Moon while watching the Grand Kid play in the band and seeing some football.
  7. Volunteers are now mandated by law to report suspected child abuse by any employee or volunteer at any kind of agency, business, nonprofit or other group that works with children. If they fail to do so they can be charged with a misdemeanor and face up to a year in jail and a $1,000 fine. Is this an unfair mandate on untrained volunteers? This question is debated in the AJC, Get Schooled section: http://blogs.ajc.com/get-schooled-blog/2012/08/26/georgia-makes-parent-volunteers-mandatory-child-abuse-reporters-is-that-a-mistake/?cxntfid=blogs_get_schooled_blog
  8. I can say that I almost always agreed with the way he voted. Paulding could do worse.
  9. You do know that only a very small portion of Paulding is in that District don't you?
  10. Why? Bill Hembree is a good conservative. Why wouldn't you support him?
  11. It will surprise me if Polk does not go for Heath. I agree that they could decide this race.
  12. Enough already. It took courage for Mr. Crowe to stand and throw his name in that ring. It is full of pit bulls. He lost and David won let it go.
  13. You can leave it blank if you want to. I am sure the guys in the run off for Magistrate Judge would appreciate you going to vote for one of them and if you are in District 66 there is a run off there too.
  14. I wish you good health and a beautiful healthy little one in a few months!
  15. Greystone Credit Union. Think there are other Credit unions too. BB&T is a good bank.
  16. Been there and done that. Hope all goes well and you heal quickly.
  17. I think the recent votes by some cities and counties to have Sunday alcohol sales is also mentioned in this article. How is that related to the perfect tax?
  18. An Article in the AJC today asks this question. In light of the narrow win on the Republican ballot question about having casino gambling in Georgia do you think we have made a cultural shift? http://www.ajc.com/news/conservatives-fear-gambling-vote-1490992.html
  19. Don't know where you got that idea but it is way off base!
  20. Sorry but I think with all of the attorneys who are in Paulding that the job should stay in Paulding. Not all of them are good old boys and just because they are from Paulding does not mean they are not good attorneys either.
