Gun manufacturers are not the problem. The profits they're are not the problem. The video game industry, the media coverage, and Hollywood movies are not the problem. Normal, rational people do not commit random acts of mirder, mass or otherwise. To assume that they would because I the influence of any of the above mentioned 'villains' is absurd. The mental health of our society, and its inept treatment, is what souls be examined, regulated, and legislated. Getting rid of scary looking black guns will not solve the problems of the mentally ill.

New Years Weekend - Anyone up for Low Country Boil?
NumberCruncher replied to surepip's topic in RECENT TOPICS
we do a low country boil every New Years Eve. usually around 3pm. that way, the folks that want to go out and party still have plenty of time to do so after leaving our shindig. I've never charged anyone for the pleasure of their company, and the consumption of my food. holidays get togethers are more about spending time wit my friends and family than being reimbursed for what I served. -
yep. we banned box cutters from planes. just like guns are banned from schools.
-
ah, but you didn't say that dynamite had been licensed and controlled. you said it had been banned from private ownership. in order to buy a gun, you have to pass a background check. in order to carry that gun in many states, you have to have a permit. licensing and controls are already in place for gun ownership.
-
a person with an LLC can submit an application for blasting agents, including dynamite, from the ATF(e) the business, or LLC, does not need to have any specific reason for using dynamite to apply. unless you consider a person with an LLC a not private citizen, I guess you're correct.

you were very unspecific with your post. the majority of gun owners do not commit crimes, much less, murder.

some people with guns kill people. the majority do not.

Christian bookstores are not simple at all. trust me, we've tried shopping at one together before.

would it be your opinion then, that every average joe who owns a 30 round clip is planning on assaulting a large group of people in a public place?

Walmart on 120 is at 2.99 this evening.

I nearly peed my pants.

either cite your sources or stop with the failed attempts at humor masked as actual facts. i'm sure Pubby would love to get a phone call from GM asking why his news site was reporting crap like this...

i don't understand purses. all i need on a daily basis is my drivers license, debit card, car keys, sun glasses, smokes & lighter, and cell phone. the cards go in my back pocket. the keys hook to my belt loop. the phone and smokes go in my bra. the lighter goes in my front pocket. the sunglasses go on my head. things like chapstick, hair ties, tylenol, beer coozies, ball point pens, etc...stay in the car and/or desk drawer, where i need them.

Churches That Offer Vegetarian Options? Loving Support ...
NumberCruncher replied to ButterflyLion's topic in RECENT TOPICS
do you enjoy this pastor's sermons? do his services move, inspire, guide, teach you? is the congregation warm and welcoming? have you taken communion with them? made any friends? leaned on anyone or been a support system? pizza seems a little low on the priority list when metered against my previous questions. have you spoken to the pastor about having cheese only pizza available for you at special functions? please do some soul searching. -
so, intentionally misleading someone is a party? good to know.

Interesting question I heard on the news this morning
NumberCruncher replied to kcarlsonlpn's topic in RECENT TOPICS
we have rules and laws so that we can live togehter in a functional society. when those reules and laws are broken, punishments and consequents must be faced. speeding and murder have consequences. simply owning a car or a gun shouldn't. kinda thought crime-ish...the whole idea of trying to prevent something that someone never intended to do. i dunno. and i disagree that there are some weapons that are just too much for protection...unless we're talking about weapons of mass destruction, and i'm thinking those are already illegal. -

why should everyone have to give up something because someone acted a fool? think about how many gun owners there are in this country who have never used their gun to commit a crime. pretty sure the numbers far outweigh the few that have. so what, now none of us can be trusted? horseshiit! -
nevermind. i found this
