  1. I do too, but this was not the case here, pretty much everyone was blocking 2 people who did that. When you came up on this wreck it was difficult to tell at first if we would even be allowed around, then everyone in the fast lane had to merge to the right hand lane, and it was going nice and smooth until I tried to get over!
  2. The friend Lisa is referring to is me! There was an older model ford f-150 white, on it's side, looked like it had rolled, good bit of damage, headed to Cobb (I know b/c my mom passed it that way), a gold Chrysler or dodge minivan off to the right in he ditch and in the trees, and a yellow dodge dakota beside the truck- don't think it was involved may have been helping. There were 4 police cars, 2 ambulances, a fire rescue, tow trucks, and a partridge in a pear tree. In other words it looked bad. It was about 1/8 mi from the exit directly onto 278 from the new courthouse. It had not been raini
  3. I rescued a Bard owl off the side of 92, about 2 yrs ago. It was a juvenile owl who had hit a car. I didn't think they mated until March though. I posted pics that were taken of me picking him up, probably long archived though. They make very cool noises though, they can sound haunting as all get out. I heard one (as did the 3 people here with me at the time) in a tree in my neighbors yard at about 4pm, very odd to hear them at that time of day. If you look a last months issue of GON (Ga outdoor news) possibly online you will see exactly how common panthers and bears are becoming in our side
  4. Oh and he bought the $5 locks, and $15 hinger for double gate, $12 hinges for walk through, no where NEAR $150. I bought hardware myself and replaced it last night when my son on his 4 wheeler (power wheels, not too "power"ful pushed right through it. I got cane bolts, handles, better latch for double gate, and a handle for the walk through for looks, did it all myself. My husband didn't do it b/c I like tools more plus he works/lives in Macon during the week, he is in the 48th brigade.
  5. Don't know why I didn't do this sooner but I called his wife, he came by and at least looked at it. He changed his tune a bit too when I mentioned small claims court and smearing his name in the mud. What totally sucks is we, he and my husband and I, had become fairly good friends. So, now we shall see how long it takes to get fixed. If it isn't done soon, I'll be telling his name. He got in over his head with other work, I was sympathetic at first, then enough was enough. Thanks for the suggestions though, I'll update when he fixes it or doesn't. Oh- he is the one who said..."I'll do it for
  6. It is $10 per foot, 412 feet. It was actually $4120 but close enough to $5000 to screw our savings!
  7. Unfortunately it's not a company, just a "friend" of a friend. My husband is too nice too, but I'm not. I want it right and I will do whatever I have to in order to get it that way. Thanks though!
  8. Ok so I had a privacy fence put up, a guy did it who had great refrences and great pics of fences. Time comes to do mine, he is slow starting doesn't start for a few weeks after the down payment was made (and check cashed I might add). Corner posts are set, a week later rest of the 56 posts are set, 2 wks later the boards that connect each section and support the fence boards are done (second of 3 required portions is paid, check cashed almost immediately), 1 month later (I was out of state for a whole month also and unfortunately wrote him the last check before I left, I know stupid me, it al
  9. When Sheri714 and I finally got the Poole Bridge Rd dog, Bud, and then found a white shep/husky mix, Angel,I had them in a 10x10 pen in my 2 car garage. I had to put up no trespassing signs, beware of dog, and watch them closely b/c they threatened to kill those "f'ing dogs" b/c they hated them. Dogs know who is good and who is BAD, and they both would have hair stand on end and go into full alert when they saw or heard them. I had to keep them in the garage for 2 reasons, they are both supreme escape artists and I wouldn't put it past those people not to poison them. Now, we have a privacy fe
  10. We have yard issues over here too, but the main one is a very hard working single mom of quite a few kids, and she does her best. I wish that was the extent of our problems! The woman that used to live in the same house as our "crazies" had a hair salon in her basement, which honestly never bothered me, she even did my hair once! The HOA had her booted though, I bet they wish they had kept her now!
  11. Yep, keep on going straight and the last rd on the left is where the problems started. When they moved in it all went to the pooper. Of course there is one long time family here with a problem kid too, he was our first pool vandal. I was told by members of the board to call the police if they are at the pool and are causing problems and won't leave, so I do. I hate going to the pool now b/c when they are there they make fun of people, cuss, act stupid. I don't want my 16 year old subjected to it and my 4 year old exposed to it. MrsB- it makes coming home, or leaving your home for a vacati
  12. I don't know if the car was locked, but she usually does lock it. I'll ask next time I see them out. I have not heard of any houses, but don't be surprised if it goes that way too, happened in a few subdivisions on Bakers Bridge, started w/cars then moved to houses. Be GLAD you live on that side, the pool vandals live across the street and the others live on this side too, the huge 100+ teenager party, 3 houses down from me. Nightly drama from the trash across the street, this side again! So I'd trade sides any day! It used to be SO quiet, I remember being able to hear the cows that were in th
  13. There have been numerous car break ins in our subdivision, The Willows, the only subdivision on Bob Hunton Road, and from what I understand also a car theft. It was recovered after a few days from what I understand. We put up security/motion lights, got a privacy fence w/padlocked gates, and garage doors with no windows because of some people who live across the street constantly trespassing and messing with our property. Good luck getting your truck back, I hope they do "return" it or they find it in tact.
  14. I was in Portland a week and a half ago, there are signs on every corner, at every gas station, bus station, train station, grocery store, light pole, hotel... you get the picture. If anyone other than the stepmom had this boy someone would have seen something. The outlying suburbs have posters and flyers also. I believe the poor boy is dead, and the stepmom certainly had something to do with it.I hope he is found and justice is served.
  15. I do and so does my teenage daughter, we LOVE him, and his staff! He did a root canal with crown and build up on me and a filling and was so gentle and great!
  16. k, I will, if it is "my" turd I will let you know!!
  17. Are you sure it was a Honda? There is a kid in my neighborhood who has an older Nissan Sentra, white also, with blue lights, who has dont the same thing numerous times to me on Bob Hunton. I've had the little turd pass me on curves, with me doing 30, and him flying by like I am standing still, he will do it on hills too. Took me a little bit to figure out who it was and where he lived, b/c he would already be pulled in and in the house by the time I made it past. I called the police a few times and told them exactly where he lived.....
  18. RIP Paul, you are missed. These next 3 days of visitation and the funeral are going to be so hard on Jamie and their daughter, please pray for strength and peace for them all. The family is devastated, rightly so. Just continue to lift them up, I know they appreciate all the prayers and compassionate words.
  19. My thoughts exactly. They also will prob have people who are planning on killing themselves do it that way too, free funeral for the person, less responsibility on the family. It is a horrible way to attempt to prove a point.
  20. I don't know if it says it on that link, my bb won't open it for some reason, but there is a memorial fund set up at Wachovia in his name. As a friend of his wife I am planning on donating to that.
  21. It is such a shock. Please keep the Holmes family in your prayers. Such a terrible situation.
  22. I hope they find her and she is ok, that is so sad.
  23. ~I can cuss like a sailor, when I am mad, stressed, or just having a bad day. One example: the other day I hurt myself and said "cheeze fire", fairly low, well, he heard it..... and driving down the road hours later he says "cheeze fifer" (how he says fire), me, my mom, and my daughter try reallllly hard not to laugh, but end up just choking and laughing anyways. ~I am a yeller, sometimes more often than I should. ~I am a spanker, in fact I carry a Sgt. Swat fly swatter with me in my purse, I rarely have to use it. ~I am not the best at feeding my 3 yr old, he has a sensory integration diso
  24. I think I used to work with this man's wife, same last name, same road. They are very good christian people, I hope he is ok, and that this stupid idiot is caught.
