    Yeah, I was thinking the same thing myself. I don't understand how the system works. I think this kid should have been detained for a few days. I am livid over this situation.

    Like I said earlier, thank God he did report this kid. He is a hero in my book also. Too many kids are afraid of being labeled a "snitch". This took courage on the childs part to turn someone in, I commend him!

    Your welcome and like I said before, I will not go into specifics on here. The boy was clearly in the wrong and this is very serious. He brought a gun to school, he had ammunition. He should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. I do not take this lightly, I am very concerned and upset. I agree!

    Well, according to my son and several other kids I talked to, the intention was there. I will not go into specifics here. I'm just glad that someone had the good sense to turn him in.

    I'm just thankful to the student who turned him in, he potentially saved a life.

    My son brought home a letter, very scary. I do hope a calling post is sent out also. My sons friend saw the gun and held it. The student that brought it had ammunition and fully intended on using it. Thank God for the kid who went to administration to let them know.

    My son, who is very into snakes, says it looks like a rat snake. I googled some pics and that's what it looks like to me. Hope this helps!
