  1. :good: I tend not to trust any site that is giving out 'information' and asking for donations thru Paypal on the same page.
  2. ...........we always have. But with the economy and attitudes like they often are, I wasn't sure who else still did it. Well apparently, a lot of people still do. My SIL drives a garbage truck and yesterday, he and his helper received just under $800.00 in tips. At his company you have to turn them in and they are divided up equally between the drivers, helpers, etc., and they get them on Christmas eve. I was stunned, I had no idea. I'm happy that people still show appreciation for anyone who does them a service and does it well.
  3. They are in Oliver Place, I think it's Place or Point, on 381. If you go past the Publix in New Hope headed toward Acworth, the neighborhood is on the left and as soon as you turn in, take an immediate left and they're in the cul-de-sac. You can't miss them.
  4. The Felix family won the Patch contest last year for the best lights and the money went to Paulding county schools. I've wondered what they did with the money. http://paulding.com/forum/index.php/topic/298132-felix-family-lights-joe-felix-presents-schools-with-check/page__p__3761323__hl__%2Bthe+%2Bpatch+%2Bcontest__fromsearch__1#entry3761323
  5. I have 17 ceramic Christmas trees and I love them ALL. The only place I have ever found them is on ebay. There is a pottery/painting store off of the square in Marietta that has trees, but they've never had lights. Let me check to see what I have, I know I have some red birds and some medium sized if you want some of them. Just let me know.
  6. Yep, we took the babies Saturday and the big difference was that when we were there, you had to keep moving and you couldn't park and look at everything.
  7. A year suspension is absurd. Did he violate policy? Yes, of course he did, but the punishment should fit the 'crime'. We all know teenagers barely have a brain in their heads at times and it could have been as innocent as he said it was. I don't know, I'm torn on this one. He should have been reprimanded and told to keep his hands to himself and maybe expelled to 2 or 3 days if this had happened before. I just have to think that there has to be more to this story. A year suspension for a hug? And I'm not convinced as to the kiss on the back of the neck, it looked like his head was turned
  8. OMG, I know! That makes my skin crawl just to think about it......................
  9. I wouldn't chalk that behavior up to addiction, but to the arrogant 'I'm gonna do what I want and I won't get caught' mentality. I'm sure he believed in his stupid little mind that he was waaay too important to be fired and that it wouldn't happen. Dumba$$.
  10. DUH....I didn't even think about that, but I suspect you're right on the money. I couldn't care less how many wives/husbands anyone has as long as they are able to provide for their brood. I adore my husband, he is my friend and my confidant, but I certainly don't want another one and I'm quite sure I'm enough trouble for him too!!
  11. I hate this for you and I have no good advice to get your friend back. I'm betting that he sees nothing amiss in his behavior. Is this pot being prescribed or does he have to buy it on the street corner? Not only could this cost him your friendship, it could cost him his freedom if he's not careful. Is Georgia a state that recognizes it's medicinal use?
  12. O-M-G....THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!!!!!!! Finally, someone gets it.
  13. People like this don't deserve to draw another breath.
  14. I do understand what you're (and he) is saying. But in the end, if I'm not buying, I'm not buying. The end. And how is that your/his fault if I WON'T write the check? He has told me before that if a customer ends up not spending the money, it's all on him because he didn't do enough to convince them to come off the hip with the cash. I'm glad Hubby isn't a salesman! Although, I have people tell me all the time that I could sell ice to an Eskimo because of my personality. But, when I bring my personality to the game, I'm coming with no agenda, I'm just nice, funny and outgoing. Selling stuf
  15. There is one I look forward to also, my step dads sister. She has sent cards for as long as I can remember. She lost a son just 2 months ago and today, as faithful as ever, I got my card, with a personal invitation to come to their Christmas day gathering. She was so wonderful when I lost my sister, I think we'll repay her kindness with a visit.
  16. It was a woman, Judge Jean Boyd. I can't believe, especially in Texas, that this sentence was handed down. She should be ashamed and have to look at huge pictures of the victims of this loser, spoiled brat kid, everyday for the rest of her life.
  17. Oh my, I like that too!!!!!
  18. My brother-in-law has a job with Oracle in sales and has to do the same thing you're talking about. But maybe you can explain something to me that he has never made me understand. He works with multi million dollar deals and like you, has to convince people that his product is better and in the end a better deal than the other guys, B-U-T, if you have a company that is ABSOLUTELY NOT going to buy from you at this time, how do you make them???? He has people say, 'We're not interested at this time or we don't have the money at this time', and his boss insists that he travel to that person and c
  19. Ours are going out Monday and I've gotten 3. I can remember even just a few years ago when we'd get 30 or 40. I LOVE getting Christmas cards in the mail, especially ones with personal messages.
