  1. Here are some pics.....I hope. If we don't find a home for her in the next couple of days, she's going to have to go to the pound. Our dogs are becoming less and less hospitable and she REALLY HATES the cat.
  2. You could quite possibly be the classiest and most mature person on this site to date. I commend you for this post and there are others who need to follow suit. You may not choose to be the standard by which others model themselves, but you just did by writing this. It's nauseating when people get on here and brag about not being a paid member and then slam and berate PUBBY on his own site. If you don't like it, the get the He!! out of dodge or ante up and pay. And while you may not normally agree with PUBBY, I never saw you be disrespectful or resort to name calling like some do. KUDOS t
  3. I have an idea as to how to how not to get expelled for having drugs and alcohol at school, don't use drugs or alcohol at all and certainly don't take them to school. It's just that simple. There is NO case where having these things at school is ever ok. It's not like a pocket knife compared to an AK 47, common sense in that situation is more reasonable. But drugs or alcohol on school property in the possession a minor is cut and dry, black and white, wrong and unacceptable. The end.
  4. Nevermind.............................................I totally read your comment wrong.
  5. The Eagles Greatest Hits is one of my all time favorite albums.
  6. Well, we could never leave her out in the cold and I admit that I'm a sucker for a homeless dog. She's funny too because if she wants to play with our other dogs, she'll turn around real quick and smack them with her butt or she'll sit on their heads and they'll just look at us like, 'Please make her stop'. They're fun to watch, but she needs her own home.
  7. Nope. Not kidding, theres something not right about him and I don't like him.
  8. I had a topic a couple of weeks ago about a sweet pup who adopted us. We've put up posters in 3 neighborhoods, taken her to the pound to see if she has a chip, she doesn't, and she's still here. Between the flu and the cold weather, we haven't been able to tackle the rehoming process. I've tried and tried to post pics and am going to have my daughter try again this afternoon, but in the meantime...........Available to a good home: White/tan, female, long haired, very sweet dog. 25-30 lbs. I'll try for pics later. Oh and the best part, she doesn't seem to shed much.
  9. I'm convinced that he's the devil, he scares me. My kids make fun of me because I won't watch him.
  10. Yep, ^^this ten fold.
  11. I am better, thank you. I've helped fold sheets, made the trek to the mailbox again (not the best idea), and eaten toast. I think that's about it for today. Hubby is on the ball with the laundry and keeping the kitchen clean, and my oldest daughter is doing the cooking. I'm in good hands thankfully!!!
  12. I know how that is too, looks can be deceiving. My autistic granddaughter can behave pretty normally in certain circumstances, but you'd never give her a knife. And the looks we've gotten from strangers in public because of her age and size, have at times made me want to become violent and act bad. She's taller than me, but functions on a level of about a 4 year old. Never assume. Never ever assume.
  13. Depending on what we are having, I'll cut middleschoolers meat, not because he's not capable, but because he sits at the table with a special needs 10 year old, a very antsy 4 year old and a dramatic 8 year old. Added to the fact that just about anything you put in his hand is a sword to him anyway, with all those factors, it just seems safer all around. If we're out and he has a steak, he usually does it himself. But if he asked me to cut something up, I would and not think a think about it.
  14. I think the Tamiflu had a hand in making me pukey and how do you even know if it helped your symptoms? As bad as I was and if it did do it's job and help, no wonder people die from the flu. It's not very confidence inspiring when 2 dr.s tell you it only works in about 50% of the people who take it. It's awfully expensive for those odds in my book. I'm glad you're feeling a little better, I wouldn't want anyone to feel half as bad as I did.
  15. It could depend on what needs cutting. Giving a 8 year old a sharp steak knife to cut thick or tough meat doesn't seem like a good idea to me, but they can probably handle a butter knife to cut most anything else.
  16. Chicken and the Egg on Whitlock. It's beautiful, reasonable, really good food, great service, with a very nice room for such parties.
  17. AAAAWWWW, thank you, I am feeling better. I walked to the mailbox and then had to lay down for 2 hours! I think the symptoms are gone, I just feel yukky and tired from being sick. I'm going to follow dr.s orders and take it easy for a couple of weeks and not do to much at once.
  18. That is soo scary and you never want to believe it's true, but it is. We have a close friend who has an aggressive form of stomach cancer and is on chemo every day for 3 months and as I was laying in the hospital hooked to an IV, thinking I may be dying, I actually felt worse because she has cancer and I just had the flu, I told Hubby what was going around in my head and he said, 'Dawney, you're right, she's really, really sick, but you're sick too. People die from the flu, it doesn't make you a wimp for being here, you need to be here'. Sometimes your head doesn't want to admit that you're b
  19. No, no, no, she is the sweetest lady ever. Good vibes and wishes sent.
  20. Here's another one , http://www.davisbiga...5590-5592/Dept. Davis big and tall. I have no idea why the links aren't working, sorry.
  21. I've ordered from here before for Hubby Levis. Try these sizes. I can't make the link work, but the site is called working persons store and they have all sizes.http://workingperson.com/?gclid=CNz5xYOv77sCFTNp7AodCyIA0A
  22. Unfortunately, I think you're out of luck. Middleschooler got a little chunky before he started Pil Sung Do and we had the same problem and there seemed to be no solution. Of course he grew almost 6 inches in the last 3 months and is now in the young mens dept wearing a 30x32. He turned 12 in September and is already 5'5", taller than me I might add. Sometimes Ross has weird sizes like a large tall, good luck.
  23. Me too, I couldn't understand why they'd have to run all night long. 2 of ours are already on their way on their buses and we have one more to get on a middle school bus. Things seem to be running smoothly, at least in our neighborhood.
