1.

I liked your first note that included the common sense remark!!
 2.

Yep, 5 cups. I have 10 people to feed most nights and that makes about 2 dozen or so, then we have enough for leftovers. I LOVE plain, cold biscuits.

Who's on first???
 3.

The shortbread dough goes into the fridge for at least 30 minutes before rolling it out, but it sticks together a little better when it's not so cold, but then it sticks to everything else as well, including the cookie cutter and rolling pin. I think instead of making 1 large disc, I should make 2 smaller ones and see how that works.
 4.

I bet I am doing too much at once, the biscuits have 5 cups of flour and the cookies have 4. I never even thought about that, thanks. I have stayed away from anything that has to be rolled out until a few years ago. I make great cakes, muffins, breads, etc., but rolling anything out has never been my strong suit, practice makes perfect I guess. Luckily, I've never had to throw anything out because it's been bad, but looks are another thing all together!!
 5.

Middleschooler was actually sick on Monday and we have a dr's for that day, but with double ear infections and a sinus infection, weather played a big part in keeping him on home Tuesday, I didn't want him out in it knowing that they'd be coming home early anyway.
 6.

Perfect attendance has never been a goal at our house because ultimately kids get sick. I can't tell you how angry it makes me when I see a sick kid at school and I've seen many, and then to have their parent(s) brag that they've had perfect attendance since kindergarten. GEEEEZ, is it really that important?? Not to me.
 7.

I have those and I can't make them work, what does that say about me??? The problem is that the dough is usually wider than the rolling pin and you can't roll across the middle with the rings on ends. I wonder if you could just use one on one end and turn the pin over and roll the other side?? HHHMMMMM!? I'll try that, thank you for reminding me because I forgot that I had them. I have to go take wonky, delicious cookies out of the oven now.
 8. I have never made a level batch of cookies or biscuits in my life. I only started making biscuits 2 years ago, but they've all been wonky. They taste good, but their looks are questionable at best. And now, my families new favorite thing is pecan shortbread cookies and they are wonky too. HELP!!
 9. Will they be counted absent of you kept them at home I wonder?
 10.

I can imagine that they would have to be did different. What I was exposed to seemed kind of........UUUMMMM........hallow and screechy, for lack of better terms. Maybe if it were richer with more tone(?) I would like it more.
 11. GAAAAD, I forgot. We made plans to go baby shopping with our neighbor that we were supposed to do last Tuesday. I guess we'll go Thursday instead. DANG!
 12.

Thank you, I think I will.
 13. I'm SOOO happy to hear that you're finally home!! I'm not far if you need ANYTHING!
 14.

That's the first thing Hubby said. Weird. Sad. Awful.
 15.

You're right, it is like waiting on another heart attach instead of recovering from the one you already had!!
 16.

You're sweet. We don't usually negotiate here, because 99% of the time, I get my way. And it's not that I'm spoiled or demanding, he just trusts me. I have good taste, I'm thrifty and almost all of the time, I'm looking for ways to make him happy. So when he asks for a GIANT TV, what do you do? You get him a giant TV and love it as much as he does.
 17.

I'm thinkin' this may have been a cheap boxed set for $199.00 from Radio Shack.
 18.

She's been doing AA and the 12 steps for 16 years. She's had sponsor after sponsor and she refuses to follow the steps. She says she doesn't need to, that she's not like 'those people'. I'm screaming and running into the night about now! Heck, I think I need a therapist!!
 19.

I think the biggest problem I have with her behavior is that she still makes excuses for her behavior. She has never owned it and still refers to her addictions as something that 'happened' to her. 'Well, I got divorced. My dad had a fake leg (seriously). I got married very young'. So on and so forth. Or the biggest excuse of all is, 'I don't remember doing that'. She did apologize once or at least in her head she did. She had behaved VERY badly at my home and her apology was, 'Well, I don't remember doing that, but if I did, I might owe you an apology'.
 20.

I know you don't think I'm a bad person and I know, logically, that I should be more tolerant of things can't relate to. But after 50 years and one too many addicts destroying people they love, I'm just rigid. It's a flaw, I realize, one I need to improve on. Will it happen? Who knows?
 21. My sympathy is reserved for people who have no control over their own situation and I think addicts have control over what they do and do not put into their body. Their children, spouses, parents, friends and colleagues have my heart felt sympathy 1000%, how horrible will it be for his kids to grow up without a dad, much less one who died of a heroin overdose? It's horrible and I feel sorry for anyone who has been damaged by an addict. But the addict? Not so much. And that in no way makes me a bad person, I'm a great person who just happens to have no patience for self destructive behavior, I
 22.

80 inches??? Holy moly, that's huge!!! I can barely sit in the same very large livingroom with this 50 incher without squinting. Someone kicked a ball on TV yesterday and I thought it was going to take my eye out!! HAHA!
 23.

^^^THIS, in a nutshell. THANK YOU!
 24.

WOW, you and I are totally on the same page on this one. I never started heroin, does that make me a hero?
