YAY!!!!! I'm so glad it worked out for you, luckily common sense won out. Are they going to top them out or do ya'll have to? Good for you, standing up to the knuckleheads you spoke with yesterday. Just think, if you hadn't, your trees would most likely be gone. WOOHOO!!!!

Any updates?

Good wishes sent, this is so sad, I'm sorry.

Hubby has never heard of the '25 foot law' and he's been a lineman at GPC for 26 years.

I have tried 4 times to watch this movie because it was filmed so close to home and I love Robert Duvall, but I swear, it's one of the slowest movies I've ever seen. Needless to say, the longest I've lasted is about 40 minutes.

I saw this this afternoon as well, but this seems to be permission for an easement. The space is blank where it is supposed to say what the easement is supposed to be. There must be clearly stated numbers somewhere, maybe they just aren't available for everyone to see or at least not to find easily. Also, they aren't trying to get to any particular lines for repair or maintain anything, just out of the blue they are saying they are going to cut down 25 trees because they can? HHHMMMMMM!

I L-O-V-E Twinkies. LOVE them, but, I DO NOT buy them because if I did, I'd eat them. I told Hubby that if I'd been buying Twinkies all this time, I may in fact weigh 800 lbs. but Hostess surely would not be in financial trouble!!!!!!!

Regardless of easements, the idea that the person from Asplund told her that they had the 'legal right' to come onto her property and chop down her trees is ridiculous. If the trees were the same height as the fence, they wouldn't know that they were there in the first place. That the trees can't be topped out and left alone makes absolutely no sense whatsoever. No one has the 'legal right' to come onto your property and destroy anything. Maybe he just used a poor choice of words, but as may have heard in the past, 'thems fithtin' words'.

Doing What Someone Else Expects You To Do

Some of the things you have described sound just like my best friend. We've been best friends since 5th grade, and that's a while ago, but it seems that she lives by other people expectations. It makes me CRAZY!! She is a wonderful person, kind hearted and generous, compassionate and caring. But the things that she puts up with from her own family, including her mother and siblings, infuriates me on a regular basis. She hosts all the family dinners, no one says thank you and if she ever asks for help or suggests that someone else host, they accuse her of being selfish. The list goes on an -
What mom thinks it's ok for your kid to dress like that at all, much less in a yearbook photo? And people wonder why kids are going to Hell in a hand basket. WOW!!

Both of my girls are grown, but I know what you mean. They were both very good girls, never missed a curfew, always called and checked in when they were supposed to, answered their cells when I called, etc. But I will tell you and I'm sure you already know, it is VERY stressful. I banged it into their heads that the reason we made the decisions we did was for their well being and more importantly, their safety. We always had the parties at our house because I would never let them go to a house where I didn't know the parents. My house was always full of kids, boys and girls. Once, we ha

My granddaughter was looking in the table of 'continents' in her book last night as opposed to the table of 'contents'. It was so funny. When 4th grader was tiny, he called the lawnmower a 'modoodoo'. No clue how got from one to the other. My grandson will say s at the end of words, but at the beginning of words the says n for s. So, Sam is Nam, silly is nilly and so forth. When we try to correct him and teach him, he gets so serious and concentrates so hard and says, N-A-M and he's certain he's saying it correctly!

Thanks for the info, I'm off to register and vote. -
When are they going to stop that giggling witch? I'm on the episode where Trask came back as a ghost and entombed Barnabus as revenge. Angelique has come from that past as Casandra Collins, Roger married her 30 minutes after meeting her and brought her to Collinwood. My daughter told me that, I'm interested to see it and see how closely the follow the tv show.

I think thats where Hubby had his done on Windy Hill rd. several years ago. It was a 'no scalpel' procedure, they used scissors instead, (they both cut, so I'm not sure what the difference is). Super quick and recovery was just a few days.

And you are correct!!!!!!! I think thats why Hubby likes me too!!

In one scene, you hear 'bang, bang, bang', like an air nailer and suddenly the entire back wall of the set falls down leaving startled actors and backstage hands to improvise. Luckily, the cameraman acted quickly and zoomed in on the action in the scene. It was sooo funny to see!
