She steps into the bathing suit with 2 feet, pulls it up, adjusts it and goes to the beach. With a formal gown, she steps into it, zips it up and attends her function. At her wedding, she gets dressed and walks down the aisle. Why are these things any different with a tattoo? Most people with tattoos want to show them off because they love them, not hide them from people who disapprove.

Neither of my girls conceal them and even if they wanted to they couldn't unless they started wearing burkas. And what's next? Women need a dr's note if they go to buy shoes with a heel over 1 1/2" tall because high heels are bad for you? You can't buy a red car because they are more likely to get into an accident? Retail stores can't sell mascara anymore because a woman might apply it in the car while driving and she could poke her eye out? You can't legislate good sense, because as I said, WHERE WILL IT END? As a mom of 2 daughters with multiple tattoos, neither of which are trashy or any other derogatory word so many people label tattooed individuals with, I appreciate the fact that you don't jump to conclusions or judgments regarding tattoos or the people that have them. I DO NOT like tattoos, but I've come to realize that everyone that has one isn't a druggie, slacker or a loser.

I had two different very close family members killed in two different wrecks in three days by drunk drivers. My cousin was on the way the visit my aunt in Kennestone whose husband had been killed 3 days earlier in Woodstock by a drunk driver and she was run into a bridge abutment by another drunk driver and she died too. I have no sympathy or tears for this kid or any other like him. If he'd have been responsible in the first place, no one would have lost their life by his hand. That may seem cold, but it's just how it is.

Is it just too easy to say 'test grades' and 'daily grades'? Are these terms parents are supposed to know or are they like trade terms for those on the inside, like the teachers? It just surprises me that I've never heard that term before and suddenly there it was. Also, I wonder if it's just this teacher, they seem to take themselves VERY, VERY, VERY seriously. But luckily, this person is middleschoolers favorite teacher, so I'm on board regardless if what they call a test.

This is absurd. I don't love tattoos either, but if I decided to get one while on a bender with my girlfriends, I should be able to. It's a freaking tattoo, who cares??? The 'lawmakers' shouldn't need to protect people from themselves and they SHOULD NOT try to. Those aren't the kind of laws that need to even be looked at. Good Lord.

I do the same thing. Even when I shop sometimes, I cringe when the total pops up because I never get as much as I think I should. And for the people who are making practically the same thing now as they were 15 years ago, how on earth do they do it? I agree. It's horrible what this government is doing to it's own people, but why do we have to be the world police and try to save any and everyone on the planet? That's crazy, sounds like a great cause to me. I've told Hubby more than once that if we ever won the lottery that I'd end up giving up all our money away. I'm concerned about fire fighters not having the proper equipment or policemen not having bullet proof vests or schools not having a playground.
