My MIL's general dr diagnosed her as being bipolar and prescribed meds. She was lethargic, over weight, sleepy all the time and B-A-M, she was bipolar. UUUURRRGGG!!!!!

Foreclosed, not foreclosed, those teens had no business being there. And for the parents threatening to sue the 'owner' is past ridiculous. And people wonder why kids run amok and act bad? When there are no consequences for bad behavior and the parents condone it, what do you expect?

I know what you mean. MIL has all but turned us against any kind of meds and that's not a good thing. Heaven forbid either of us ever get really sick. Also, she has to take pills to counteract symptoms of other ones she takes.....WTH?

Our family dr will only see drug reps on one specific day of the week and only for an hour. He never has samples and left his former practice to start his own because all the other dr's did was eat free catered lunches from the 10 reps you'd see going in and out while you waited for 2 hours after your appt time. My mother always told me that gas dryers would eventually turn your clothes yellow, no clue if it's true. I'm sure they've improved since 1945! We've had a Speed Queen electric dryer for about 6 months and I LOVE IT!!!! I'd go with electric because you're all ready to go. Good luck!

Me too, I could lose 25 lbs, but my BP is 118/70 and my cholesterol levels are at a healthy level. I've worn the same size clothes for the last 8 years, that's my gauge. I leave the Twinkies and Baby Ruths, both of which I LOVE, at the store because if I didn't, I'd a cow. I take no meds either. When I had torn cartilage in my knee last year, I took an anti inflammatory for 2 weeks and no pain meds. My MIL's eagerness to take pills has completely turned us OFF to the whole idea, even if they we need them.

I do believe that heredity has a hand cholesterol and BP. I went to Weight Watchers with a lady who wore a size 6 and had lost 108 lbs and her bad cholesterol was still 289. I do believe that there are medical reasons to take meds and if you still need them after you try to live a more healthy life style, then I chalk that up to your body make up, not to being a slovenly, inactive lump.

YUUUUUUUUK!!!!! This happened to me at Moes many moons ago when the one opened in Hiram. The guy making the food cut his finger, badly, put a glove on his hand and continued to make my food all the while the glove was filling with blood. I almost puked. Don't even get me started on this! My MIL has taken meds for EVERYTHING for as long as I can remember. Blood pressure, cholesterol, restless legs, heartburn, etc. She takes 19 different Rx meds EVERYDAY and aside from being 125++ pounds over weight, there's NOTHING wrong with her. No cancer, no RA, no dementia, but boy is she proud of the fact that she routinely has thousands and thousands and thousands of dollars in tests every year and that Medicare pays for it all. I've never known any employer to pay for or even offer coverage for part time employees. Why is it news that employers that did offer it are dropping it? Maybe I'm gullible or naive to believe my insurance company and the HR dept when they tell me things will be the same and ins premiums will continue to increase nominally just like they always do, but that is no different form all of the speculation going on here and in every other place that is talking about this. NONE OF US, NONE, will know how anyone will be affected, if at all, until October 1st or there after.

So, the letters from my insurance company and phone calls to HR dept are all lying when they tell me that our insurance coverage including benefits, premiums, etc, won't change? I think that's part of it, but a bigger part is that they want to text at that moment and that's exactly what they're going to do. It's selfish to put everyone elses life at risk just because you want to confirm plans or tell Patty Sue about your hot date last night. I can't abide that self centered behavior, makes me crazy! Me too, but those kids and everyone around her is at her mercy. What was she thinking?? This is the first year middlescholer has ever ridden the bus and thoughts of bus drivers doing wrong is one of the reasons. But, I've let go of that control and I have to hope that his driver is MUCH more responsible that the one in the video.
