She was 86. Arthur died peacefully at her Los Angeles home with her family at her side, family spokesman Dan Watt said. She had cancer, Watt said, declining to give further details. She was 86 and was suffering from cancer, according to the Associated Press. The actress died early today at her home in Los Angeles with her family by her side, said family spokesman Dan Watt.
