  1. Had mine out in 1995 and no real problems.
  2. When the first thing I grab when I go out on the screened in porch is a fly swatter to kill all the wasps.
  3. My dad (62yo.) would beg to differ about there being a light at the end of the tunnel. His job was sent to china this week
  4. I have dealt with an ex-ahole since 1991. He never paid much child support and never got much visitation because of that fact. Child support wasnt much help either. Last year they dropped my case because he is back in prison till 2011 but I can start it back up when he gets out. I will keep this case going forever if I have too. He owes my son $13,000 and either he pays or runs for the rest of his worthless life. I know I sound mean but its been 19 years that I have dealt with this. He put my son through hell when he was a little boy and now hes getting paid back. Dont move...stand your gr
  5. Very nice...I have been wanting one of those.
  6. I think its more of an annoyance thing than anything. Hubbys has twitched for years and gets on his nerves but as far as we can find out its not life threatening. But when it starts moving around on your face (like with one of the other posters) then I might have it checked because it could be Bells Palsy.
  7. My hubbys eye does the same thing and what I have learned from the classes I take is that its hemifacial spasms. It can be caused by something as small as a breeze blowing across your face or something compressing the affected nerve. This is what I found on it: The condition may be caused by a facial nerve injury or a tumor, or it may have no apparent cause. Very commonly, hemifacial spasm is caused by irritation of the seventh cranial nerve (the facial nerve). A small blood vessel is often found compressing the root entry zone of the facial nerve at the brainstem.
  8. That avatar is of Slash (from Guns N' Roses) in the video November Rain. As far as the OP question...I hit a big, big, big dog one day and it tore the front end of my car up really bad. It scared me so bad that I wouldn't have even considered going back to ask for the damages to be fixed.
  9. I agree. Looks like Cyanosis (low blood oxygen levels) to me.
  10. Ours was $335, total electric with a heat pump. Hubby said its not as bad as he thought it would be.
  11. I dont care what scale he lives on. Its obviously frivolous, careless and hes just plain out DUMB!!! How can anyone that stupid make as much money as he does...hummmm...makes you wonder who gave him a leg up and WHY!!
  12. I know a flight attendant that works for Delta that was stationed in NY recently. She was on food stamps because her pay was so low. I thought (but I admit I do not know much about the profession) that it payed pretty good. Am I wrong or has the economy gotten that bad. For us...we live below the poverty level purposely so any downturn in the economy doesnt have a drastic effect on us. I think its just like most businesses these days...like the OP said "I guess the Executive board needs to pad their bonus checks or something."
  13. A doctor I was seeing about 5 years ago in Dallas wouldnt see me for anything except what the appointment was for. I tried making an appointment for several different things at one time and when I went in...he only asked about the first thing I mentioned when the appointment was made. She left out everything else when she made the appointment. It puzzled me at the time but now since reading these posts I see that its not just me.
