your statement is so true; they will not let teachers TEACH. I think the parents should be held more responsible than the teachers; many parents think of school as a "daycare" and will not take the responsiblity to see that kids learn.

House at the NE corner of Hiram Sudie & Davis Mill
Canyon Ridge Gal replied to Mrs G's topic in RECENT TOPICS
The house was purchased by T.P. Barber in the early 40's from the bank. They lived there until death and the house was sold by the estate to the Arneys Thanks for your post; Ruth was my Dad's sister and I believe we know the history and yes there was a blacksmith shop in the back. -

The story on Patch is not correct about house; My Grandfather, Thomas P. Barber purchased the house and he and my grandmother lived there. After she died, he lived there for many years, until he went to live with my Aunt. After he died the family sold the estate to Mrs. Arney. I wish people would get facts straight. -
I cannot believe the insensitive people on the forum; if it was your child (adult or not) I bet you would be concerned; These are good people and love their family.

Sorry to hear about Mr. Couey; I learned to skate at South Cobb and then we all went to Crescent Park; do any of you remember when the bus came and picked us up in Dallas every week to go skate? Wonderful memories of those skating days. -
