  1. ^ Yep ..... Temp dropped to 74 right now and have had 2.5" of rain and still coming down. Looks like a slow mover ..... 2. Yes, it is just starting and it is coming down! It does need to slow up a bit and go for hours though but I'll take it!
  3. First thought I had when I heard this was that is one awful mother-in-law, the worst of the worst. Didn't know her but I hope she rests in peace Hope the children will be ok and the ex .... and that the MIL gets maximum sentence.
  4. Good savings and investments to you on your $12K --- hopefully you will never need anything catastrophic as far as medical need.
  5. If true, then why is the OP trying to bring on the boo-hoo, poor my family, we can't have insurance --- but then she found a loop hole -- earn a lot and then find a premium and you are exempt! ..... She should be praising the Affordable Healthcare Act for allowing her husband not to pay their insurance bill and she can save the money in an account and hope they don't have any problems with herself and kiddo .... she should sing the praises of not paying her own way! YAHOO .... I blame a lot of different areas for being in this mess. I pay for insurance (and have and have) and haven't
  6. If you are making, what you are bragging, and can't afford the $255/wk, I would be raising questions on what I was spending my money on .... but whatever ..... good luck.
  7. as it should be ..... again ... glad to hear you didn't lose your daughter ....
  8. sorry ... my bad ... it was when "We almost lost our daughter twice when she was younger, both time she had to go to the hospital, both times we didn't have insurance, both times the hospital had a fund for people who couldn't afford insurance. " Glad you to hear you didn't lose your daughter. But that fund you mention was paid for by people who bought insurance unless you set up a repayment program.
  9. Yes there are programs ..... the rest of us who bought insurance paid for you to have children without the means to pay for your hospital or medical bills ..... the whole system needs to be redone.
  10. I'm glad & yours don't either ...... Happy Wednesday .....
  11. I paid more than this for a long time and nobody gave a sh*t. I paid because I earned more than the lower paid employees or those who didn't have insurance. Didn't have a choice as no insurance wasn't an option. Heaven forbid you had a pre-existing condition or other situations with family heritage .... I work a ton of hours but only get paid for $40 - that is it, no more money paid to me. Only benefit was that is was pre-tax. We all pay ... no insurance or not. There really needs to be better but no one wants to contribute because they can even though most of us have been contributing
  12. sorry to hear you do not have the means ..... \ didn't imply anything about your family health, didn't reveal anything about mine. didn't intend to make you snarky. I've been employed by a lot of different levels of companies .... it comes in all sizes. Seen doubling a lot over the years and reduced coverage at the same time. We have paid and paid and paid for 30 years, I'm good with the situation I find us in now. I have paid out the wazoo -- and now I get somewhat affordable (not quite, but better). take care sweetie pie ....
  13. I'm paying half the premiums I did several years back and have the exact same coverage with a slight copay increase ($5-10) and deductible (~$1000). Same Doctors, Same Hospitals -- No changes there! Seen no difference. And I have gotten a pay & bonus raise the last 2 years. YAHOO for us! Not rubbing it in, but I think it depends on your perspective ---- the old coverage/insurance I was paying to cover more of you for those things that insurance didn't cover and now you have to pay for. and if you think insurance hasn't risen in the last 30 years, you got lucky or was under
  14. If you had a "pool" insurance through your employer, you were paying for those who were not making as much as you do -- called a tier pricing based on wages .... been there, done that for many many years.
  15. Omar Marteen was born in NJ. How do you plan to vet that? Shut down the internet or tell everyone that they can not go to their chosen place of religion to practice their faith?
  16. That was great of you to turn them in. Hope the owners get their keys back.
  17. Thanks for letting us know. I have to go over the next several months, so this will be very convenient!
  18. ... so sorry to hear ... Hope you are able to recover a good majority of your garden and glad to hear it isn't worse for you!
  19. COMING DOWN .... and very dark. Love the rain, not so much thunder & lightening .... but it is what it is ....
  20. They did the surgery on my rescue who some decided to shoot him in the face. WONDERFUL! 3+ years later, he is a happy, healthy, funny, loving & amazing creature who has capacity to love and enjoys meeting everyone plus tell people he is home and not to mess with his property (land and cats)!
  21. Did you know you can play with dates at certain points in time which show both the same date forward as backwards? This is happening this year between June 10 and June 19 (next year it will happen in July). Example: 61016 (forwards) is 61016 backwards Today is 61516 forwards and backwards it is 61516 Amaze your family and friends with this wonderful useless trivia!! and as stated, it will happen in July next year
