  1. You are correct, JMT, as I have wanted to but cannot afford to do so. Even if I wanted to run for a state rep or sen, I could not live on $17000/year. I spoke to someone the other night about that. Either you have a ton of cash, own a business or whatnot, one really had no chance to take on such a position.
  2. ~sigh~ the move ....anyhow..Details of the Republican Meet and Greet coming soon. We have the date, location and time. We are working to get as many candidates to this event as humanly possible. Dallas paper isn't the only place for information as well. Also, the precincts have changed this year from 28 to 14 and most(not all) will be in a different precinct.
  3. What was she thinking? http://www.wsbtv.com/news/23320657/detail.html
  4. It will..it has already begun and will be this way until whenever.
  5. Keep the reminders going, Nick so I can attend one of the dates this year.
  6. I don't see a blast happening of Dems taking over. Besides, I was a dem until the Reagan years and haven't looked back since and happy I didn't either.
  7. Yeah, he is running on one issue...wow, he has my support. So, you signed up 2 years ago and just now begun posting?
  8. Yeah, the hair, someone needs to tell him this isn't the 60s. He has about as much of a chance of winning as earth being hit by an astroid. Your Sinclair comment is absurd as well.
  9. Too bad it wasn't me, the Average Joe to do that. Just not the right time for me yet but then the pay; I would not survive on. But who knows. I was asked by two in the party and one person at work to run for something but as I said, now is not the time.
  10. Avery looks like some washed out liberal teacher from California. Avery looks like some washed out liberal teacher from California...still laughing when I saw his picture. He has no chance of winning and since they usually meet in a house somewhere, I don't see him getting very far.
  11. And can you say...provide facts. I do know Paulette well enough and also discussed the school board issues of the past and where she stands.
  12. That is interesting as I think he was going to go after Cagle's spot but I guess he changed his mind.
  13. Paulette Braddock (District 19) and Mel Everson(labor Commissioner) are qualifying tomorrow.
  14. I am checking with her; her site is also up and announcement has been made. I don't remember when qualifying ends but (nevermind)Melvin Everson is running for Labor Commissioner and he isn't listed yet either.
  15. Paulette has officially entered the race and her campaign is now in full-swing.
  16. His fee is paid by the same people he takes money from, mostly the poor.
