We always studied with our daughter regardless of where we were on the weekends. Most of our times were spent at the ball park on the weekends. Lots of time in the car and between games to study. Kids should "practice" their school work whenever they can - it will prepare them for college! By the way - she thanked us for doing this after her 1st semester of college

My daughter has to drive back to college tomorrow - Statesboro, GA. I wish I knew how the roads were South of us!!!

I work at a local grocery store and absolutely love all the kids I get to work with - they keep me young. I would say 98% of them try their absolute hardest to please the customers and do what they ask. What amazes me are the customers who come through the line and never make eye contact or say something pleasant to either the cashier or the bagger. Working at a grocery store has truly opened my eyes to how people truly treat others....

Playing outside all day long. My Pop Pop taking me fishing and letting me sip his Coors. Marching in the band. Spending tim at my Daddy's barber shop. Going camping in tents only big enough for the 4 of us. The television actually going "off" at midnight. My mom cooking dinner and us sitting down at the table every night for dinner. Atari. First loves. Walking to school. Sneaking off with my boyfriend to ride his motorcycle. Working at the mall with not a care in the world!
