  5. I am out of town on business... I so looked forward to this quiet hotel and now... well.. it's too quiet...btw.. I need someone with minimal electronics knowledge to tweek my tanning bed.. it works.. but I need to change the bulbs and the fans are not working... not sure if it is the fans or the capacitors not deadly but I still want it fixed..
  6. wow the power of pcom... barely an hour and he showed up! again.. I don't mind paying and I prefer to support the local... however if he lets me down again I will be taking new bids..

  8. It all started with one little spot in a downstairs bathroom... I needed to fix a hole from an old towel bar.. no biggy.. went to home depot got the supplies. then started to paint.. OMG.. this is where it all started at about 9 this morning... the spot led to the wall which led to the hall which led to the nook which led to the hall which led to the family room which led to the stairs which led to the upstairs... and I could go on... thank goodness for excellent paint that even after 6 years matches when I hit the high traffic areas.. still in need of some general handyman items and it appea

  10. I thought I was helping local business.. guess not so much I work long hours and my dh is a full time student... I don't mind paying.. just want it done.. any takers if he doesn't show by 5?
  11. yes but you don't have to put a new bag in lol... .. !and btw.. it's all about the customer service... perhaps I am still a bit jaded about the deck issue but all I want is good customer service and I am not afraid to pay for it.... is that too much to ask?
  12. thank you everyone.. and again.. in all fairness he has not cashed the payment.. just hasn't done the work either... please nice man come today before 5 and stain my deck I am convinced however that if he does not show I am not being unjust to stop payment on the payment.. thank you all.. and.. btw.. anybody sand and stain decks lol

  14. thank you everyone! in all fairness to him.. he has not cashed the deposit.. but, he hasn't kept his word either.. maybe he just doesn't want the business and felt obligated because he was a referral.. who knows.. anyways.. come 5 pm I am stopping payment.. I feel empowered lol...(please show up nice man lol )...

OK.. about three weeks ago I got an estimate to stain my deck... not a huge one I might add...he was referred so I felt good about giving him business... he gave my husband a quote of $650...I was amazed.. but my husband was thrilled he was referred and felt good about him.. so, he wrote him a check.. fast forward 3 weeks.. he has come once and pounded nails in...I have called him 3 times.. he promised to come today.. he has not... here is my dilemma.. he has not cashed the check... I could stop it.. but I do not want to... however, if I hire someone else I must... I do not know how long
  16. yes they are.. only I believe they were first. They are awesome.. and what great customer service.... that is what thrills me the most.. they had all my info stored and offered to replace my discontinued cans... nothing gets my attention more than good customer service.. kudos to janibell...
  17. I have owned this for over 7 years... well a form of it.. it is now under a new name.. I called to order a new can and mentioned they they had discontinued my originals since they went under the new name.. she said, no problem.. let us send you 3 to replace them... OMG....   18. Nope, most of it can be found at local stores with no shipping and sometimes even less cost... and of course, a return policy! Having said that, I do have several As Seen on TV items and love them

  21. I found so many kind and caring people when I was having a hard time... there were so many offers I couldn't respond to all of them...thanks again everyone who listened, offered to listen and thought of me
  22. OMG.. do you have a gas bill as well? our gas is budgeted at around $180... our electric hit an all time high of $280 and we have been here over 5 years...at least ours is broken into 2 bills so I can pretend I feel a little better..
