  1. Well, that is the extent of my knowledge as well.lol.. sorry I couldn't help. I am sure someone on here will be able to... good luck and let us know what it is...
  2. ok.. so am I correct you have to full desk systems in your home? you put the monitor from the computer that won't work on the working unit and it worked.. ruling out the monitor itself.... you took the power cord from the nonworking system and tried it on the working system and it worked... ruling out the power cord... if you tried the cable from that connects the monitor to the CPU on the working unit as well, and it worked... then sure enough it is in the CPU of the unit... video card loose or out? I love a good mystery... when you solve it let us know... good luck!
  3. do you have another monitor in the house you can swap to that system to see if it is a monitor issue or computer issue?
  4. You have probably already tried this.... but, if not, unplug your laptop, take the battery out for about 30 secs., put the battery back in, then plug it in and try to power up...this is the first thing I would try. By the way, what kind of laptop is it?
  5. I have to do it several times a day lol...like I said, I am not sure how I am doing it but at least I can undo it.. Glad I could help.
  6. LR if you are using Firefox try this..( I too keep having the same problem) I am new to Firefox but this seems to undo it, although I don't have any idea how I am doing it.... go to View at the top blue menu bar, drop down to zoom go over to the right and drop down to reset... I am on a Mac but that works for me.. good luck...
  7. Still a great bargain don't get me wrong...but thanks for saving me the trip and the money lol... I have been considering getting an air card and this is an offer I couldn't have resisted.... but should of...
  8. ok... before I go trekking half way across town... LR said DSL when referring to her modem and said wireless card which I was assuming meant internal wireless card for home wireless networking.... now, if I am to understand it came with a free AT&T air card... for $19.99 a month that is quite a bargain in itself... I guess I am easily confused these days
  9. Thank you... I certainly believe this true... there are no "what ifs" in the insurance world..I guess it would equate to calling a creditor and asking "if I am unable to pay my bills next month.....)" automatic freeze of credit lol... thanks for all the advice...
  10. It was a certified G.E. repairman... he showed me her innards... it was sad.. yes there was a surge that did her in...but I learned that it is not okay to clean her electrical board with cleaners as I always have... I assumed it was flush it was okay.. but no.... they are not water tight... I contributed to her demise... I will not make a claim.. .thanks all.. so.. if you have a G.E. dishwasher with a hidden electronic control panel (I have a pic but don't know how to post it) please folks don't spray it with house hold cleaners.... just gently wipe... It was a certified G
  11. child support is to ensure children maintain the lifestyle to which they are accustomed prior to the divorce... regardless of what the "real costs are" that is why people who make a lot of money pay a lot more... IMHO if the absent parent starts making a lot more down the road... I mean significant..should the child support increase?... my opinion is no..i do believe in cost of living adjustments for child support... but I am talking a significant change.. they the child/children have never been accustomed to those rewards so why should the absent parent be obligated.. having said that...in a
  12. not sure what that is.. but just a plain GE Profile™ Dishwasher with SmartDispense™ Technology Model #: PDWT580PSS it was a power surge from lightening that did it in... the first night of the storm.......but still thinking the end may not justify the means in this case... thanks..
  13. Thank you.. this is where I was leaning myself... it's just I have paid premiums for life, auto and homeowner's insurance for so many years and never made a claim... I was thinking.. maybe.. this time since times are rough (not impossible thankfully) that I would take advantage of the premiums I have paid for many many years if my rates would not be affected.. thanks for your input..
  14. funny you should ask this... yes, Dee has predecessors that cost less... as I stated she was a mere 6 years old.. silent and trustworthy... her predecessors have a bit more to offer for the same price.. stainless steel inside and out... a 47 ounce capacity which means I do not need to feed them daily... amazing... I just hit the on switch and food (detergent) is dispensed..she was not outdated though... and the best dishwasher I ever had...in the past I have had less trustworthy dishwashers...leaking, loud, offensive smells .. and, well, became very fond of Dee... the questions is not will I
  15. sorry for your loss... I guess my dilemma is I can buy a new dishwasher at full price... but I am wondering when my homeowners will ever pay off.... should I take advantage of it? I always tend to spare insurance and suck it up... but, I am doubting myself on this one.. just wondering what the rest do...
  16. This is a story about Dee (my beloved dishwasher)... it was the first night of the storm... we were both awake even though the rest of the household members were sound asleep.. suddenly the power went out then came back on... Dee started to squeal at a pitch that was unbearable... I ran to her to try to help.. there was none... I ran to the basement to relieve her.... I cut off the circuit and did just that... the next morning I went to the basement and thought I would give Dee one more try... she took a breath... I saw her electrical board light up.. then... it happened... the squeal... I imm

  18. May you rest high on a Mountain... and may our community watch over the ones you left behind as much as you will watch over the loved ones we have lost... RIP little man...
  19. I was getting ready to sell my 2006 Nissan Quest. Had Rileys detail it... the first people that looked at it commented on how clean and kept it was (thank you again Marc and Lisa)... they purchased the vehicle for full asking.... money well spent.... Thanks again!
