Though you'd like to believe that (and it may be true with some people, heck I don't know) this instance has nothing to do with favoritism. I noticed a URL of a non-commerce member in the title of a thread so I changed the title. I did not have time to go through the entire forum and did not see that there was another thread. I'll go look now.

If you are arrested, and not guilty, do you except a punishment for the fun of it or do you use your "millionaire next door" bank roll and fight the false charges?
or....if you are arrested for domestic violence do you just get your attorney to draw up a condition of divorce being that the charges are dropped....of course no husband is going to say, no press charges but lets stay married compared to getting rid of your pschyo self.

We face choices similar to what we had in November 2008. The assumption that it's the "R" and "D" is becoming asinine. Can't you simply entertain the idea that folks choose the candidate whose voting record is most in line with what they would want?

Is Paulette Braddock ever going to speak to us voters of Paulding County? I know her opponent Will Avery has been at forums, debates (where she wouldn't show up), speeches, yada yada yada. But there hasn't been anything out of Paulette. All I know about her is she has catch phrases on her website, she has an arrest record and she has some signs around.
When is she going to be accessible? Surely she isn't assuming that we Paulding County voters are just going to vote for her just because of the letter after her name? We have higher standards than that.
This place has attracted an echo.
For starters, Paulette has acknowledged printing and mailing $20,000+ in non-reported mailers during July and August. She claimed she did not know she had to report them if her company printed them. There is a pending Ethics Commission Investigation. And that is WAY over the maximum allowed even as in kind contributions.
But the one that still baffles me, is her total lack of contributions reported from July 1 through August 17th, even with a 4th of July weekend BBQ fundraiser where she did show the expenses, but $0.00 contributions collected.
There is not a limit on in-kind contributions from yourself to yourself.

I didn't make any comment about verifying funds, so I don't know if this is directed at my comments. however, I was simply pointing out that the same level of service has apparently been offered the county almost 4 months after a contract had expired. I don't know why the contract wasn't in place. But it would appear that the county had actually put Sam in a bad place because of this. Did the county contract require any accountability? It's paying for a service. The service has been there. My guess is that an audit would show that the county needs to provide more funding than it's current level.
