  1. I stay out of other people's business. My own daughter was shot by her husband, the children just happen to be away, but they were still terrified when they found out their mother had been shot. I tried to help, but it only made my daughter despise me. She visited the shooter in jail, and when he got out of jail he was right back in the family. It's seems to be between these two people, cg, and as long as they are not continuing to disturb your peace it's better to stay out of their business.
  2. You are right, sugarpie! I like to be around people who know me for who I am. I also like to know the people, I hang around with, for who they are. Even on a public forum, where we use an avatar to represent us, it says something about who we are. If someone doesn't like my avatar, on a public forum, they would not like me in person. If it takes me very long to get to know a person for who they are, I will lose interest in that person as a friend. Some people talk from their teeth out, and try to test what they say to see if it flies. But I like them better if they are speaking fro
  3. I have been asked to change my avatar. I have been asked to change my signature. There are people who would change other people's preferences on all kinds of things. I just don't find it hard to be myself. In fact it's the easiest thing I have ever tried to do. I have mistakenly tried to please other people, in my life, which is the hardest thing I ever done. Why would some people spend their whole life trying to figure out how to please other people, and neglect just being themselves?
  4. I get humor from up at the barber shop, Johnny! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PcO-cxG3Fjg

  6. That's funny right there, Johnny! Being a boring old man is not a good thing. Being yourself is sometimes a boring thing to do. We all need a little humor in our lives. There'll come a time when we have to leave this old world, and a life without humor will follow you to the grave. Even the people who come to your funeral will be a bunch of bored individuals. Women should take the ribbon from their hair, sometimes, and ad some humor to their lives. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yG3F61H-XDA
  7. Your husband consents to peeing in a jar, cherokeewoman, which is something that is fine if he wants to do that. But, I don't consent to peeing in in a jar unless it will be a benefit to me. I am not that kind of public servant. When p.com starts telling me I will have to pee in a jar if I want to be a member of the group, I will find some other group to be a member of. Thanks for your reply, though! I think you and your hubby are two fine people, we just disagree on that.
  8. What sneaks through doors and windows without knocking? The Postman What heats an unlit stove? The Postman's brain What gives the cat a snug place to rest? The Postman's wife's lap What am I? A blond What's black and white and read all over?
  9. Well, I do perceive some facts the same way other people do. Do I get any credit for doing that? a pound is a pound. They both weigh the same.
  10. If he can have you pee in a jar without your consent, GD, what else can he have you do without your consent?
  11. How long does it take a mile long train to go through a mile long tunnel, if it is traveling 60 MPH?
  12. If it's green to me, markdavd, I'm satisfied with green. Why should I try to change a color that I am satisfied with?
  13. I know! I just mentioned the fact that reasonable understanding is very isolated.
  14. What I perceive to be the truth is the only thing that matters to me, dap! It's the only thing I have control over. I can't change how other people perceives the truth, if they insist on the truth being different than the way I perceive it. I see it my way, and they see their way. Other than that I may need one of their attitude adjustments, or they may need one of mine. Let me ask you a question. What is something that can't be stopped should run directly into something that can't be moved?
  15. A reasonable man just spoke! It's a shame that a reasonable understanding of the way things actually are, in this World, is so isolated to only a few good people.
  16. Your perception of the facts would not have anything to do with my perception of them, SOLO! I don't get into your perception of facts as much as I do my own perception of them. The only proof there is that your expectations are your, and expectations are mine. It's makes little difference what the facts are. It's how I perceive them that counts.
  17. I understand, folks, just fine, perfectly. Yeah; my whole life looks brand new. And Aunt Bea helped me.
  18. Allow me to define union, markdave! "An organization of workers joined to protect their common interests and improve their working conditions." You have said that Corporations have workers from the top to the bottom of the chain of command. In fact you claim that the workers at the top of the chain do more work than the ones at the bottom. They do every thing they can to protect their common interests, while improving their working conditions. A union is an organization, markdave! Are you thinking that a corporation is not an organization?
  19. As I have said, SOLO! I am not here to live up to your expectations of what I should know about debate. And, you are not here to live up to what I think you should know about debate. If by chance, however, we can find something debatable it will be a good thing.
  20. Some companies do random drug tests on everyone. It is the day they do it that is random. An employee doesn't know what day the test will be given.
  21. I can't argue the facts, markdavd! I can only argue what you and I perceive to be true about unions. Corporate unions, or Labor unions.
