Dangerous Strain Of Salmonella Around The Country
Eddie Bennett replied to Eddie Bennett's topic in RECENT TOPICS
The federal agency in charge of protecting America's food supply is keeping quiet on a deadly salmonella strain in ground turkey, which has killed one person and sickened 76 across 26 states. “We are looking everywhere, and we are doing our best to work with the CDC,” Neil Gaffney, press officer with the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS), told FoxNews.com. “When it comes to illness, there’s a lot of work and it’s very complicated. We’re trying to pinpoint the product and get it out of the market as soon as possible.” -
Dangerous Strain Of Salmonella Around The Country
Eddie Bennett replied to Eddie Bennett's topic in RECENT TOPICS
I quit eating peanut butter cookies a while back, but I wasn't aware that, sense March, I have been eating contaminated turkey franks and burgers. A case of salmonella poisoning in Cherokee County is to close to home for me. But, I don't know where to go. -
Georgia health officials confirmed that one of the victims was a baby in Cherokee County. The baby has since recovered. Illnesses are reported in 26 states, and 22 people were sick enough that they had to go to the hospital. The USDA has told media outlets that there isn't enough information to issue an official recall yet. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention says people should be careful how they prepare ground turkey, making sure it gets to 165 degrees. Sherry Smith, of Conyers, said she's been serving her family ground turkey a couple of times per week. The last time

We need tax revenue, and we need to make room for real criminals in our jails. People in jail for illegal pot needs to be paid for growing it, out on the farm. http://youtu.be/AF9JheXYR_E

People who want sample a grape at the grocery store may want to open a package of peanut butter cookies, at home.

I do post things that some think are inappropriate for the public, but there is no way to please everybody. I grew up when being inappropriate was a lot more critical. When the internet came into being so popular, what's inappropriate changed a great deal. I saw parents go into shock when they learned how to use a computer well enough to sneak in on what their kids was viewing. I'm glad you found it funny, K96, and I am happy that it did not have an adverse affect on the children.

You bring up a good point, K96! The game of life is something some people refuse to think about. Some think they are predestined, while others think that luck has a lot to do with it.But, I believe in playing the game of life for as long as I can. I don't play the game of life as much with other people as I do solitarily. But, I play it all the time. I try to do what I believe is right, in a win/win way. If I can't do anybody any good I certainly don't want to do them any harm. Even if I heart their feelings, I am thinking maybe they needed to know that information more than me trying

I think if I win, there are a lot of other people who win right along with me. It's the same way with losing. I play games like horse shoe, several ball games, poker, pool, etc. etc.. I think winning is great, and losing is great too. The more I lose the smarter, and more strategic I become. So, in a sense loosing is winning, for me. Now, allow me to copy and past some facts about winning and losing. Win/Win is one of six total philosophies of human interaction. Win/Win - People can seek mutual benefit in all human interactions. Principle-based behavior. Win/Lose - The

Being particular is okay. But, just how particular is particular enough? I think anyone who is so particular that they can get all bent out of shape by seeing a few grapes get sampled id too particular. If the truth be known I don't even trust the water that may be provided, by a store tenant, to wash a sample grape with, before I taste it. I just as soon use my shirt tail to wipe the grape off. I used to trust peanut butter sandwich cookies, but I don't eat them anymore sense a large company, here in Georgia, sickened a bunch of people across the country, and may have killed ab

Half Gallon Ice Cream's Shrunk To 56 oz's, And Now 48 oz's
Eddie Bennett replied to Eddie Bennett's topic in RECENT TOPICS
I suppose vendors do organize the ice cream section, but a lot of things are not refurnished by outside vendors. I have bought ice cream at or below what a store pays for it, but I have found that I have paid more for other items in the store. -
Would a conservative help a tumble bug roll a tu** up a hill for half of it? NO, DC...RED, they want it all.

I saw that on Fox News this morning. My though was how could they make make the snake suffer like that. He was probably getting burned by a hot motor, and he was simply trying to get to a safe place. I don't do my fellow creatures that way. I would have stopped the car and allowed the snake freedom from its horror. It look to me like the snake lost his/her life. What do we want, in this world; more rats? This was a rat snake, but even if it had been a rattle snake I would have tried to help it, at a safe distance away.

What A Woman Says vs. What A Man Hears
Eddie Bennett replied to Eddie Bennett's topic in RECENT TOPICS
If women and men just knew the definition of words they use, they could understand each other better. Here are 10 words, for an example of what I'm talking about. 1. THINGY (thing-ee) n. a. female...Any part under a car's hood. b. male...The strap fastener on a woman's bra. 2. VULNERABLE (vul-ne-ra-bel) adj. a. female...Fully opening up one's self emotionally to another. b. male...Playing any sport without a "cup." 3. COMMUNICATION (ko-myoo-ni-kay-shon) n. a. female...The open sharing of thoughts and feelings with one's partner. b. male...Scratching out a note before sudd -

Half Gallon Ice Cream's Shrunk To 56 oz's, And Now 48 oz's
Eddie Bennett replied to Eddie Bennett's topic in RECENT TOPICS
Thanks E Z! Actually 1 5/8" X 3 5/8" would have worked for the finished product, after processing. But, shipping was cheaper if the other 1/8" was also eliminated. So now we have the 1 1/2" X 3 1/2" standard. Ice Cream containers, on the other hand, was cut in size for the benefit of making more money (in shelving, in delivery, and in handling). Customer satisfaction only came from having to eat less ice cream. -
