  1. With the previous owner and the tenant, yes... Not the case with the new owner.
  2. I understand that, I wanted to make sure she didn't misinterpret your post as a couple of days. Your idea and their idea of quickly, especially given their circumstances, can mean two very different things.
  3. Not really quickly, as in immediate... Evictions are running between 60-90 days from the filing.
  4. Absolutely. They will still have to evict you, but by not having a lease you don't have much protection other than a few weeks notice you are being evicted. But that will likely further ding your credit if it comes to that.... The new owner may not want you to go, especially if the house is a fixer upper. It being sold does not necessarily mean they want you to go, but they can raise the rent if they don't feel the rate is fair.
  5. Did you go to woodstock outlet in Acworth? They have a little more of a selection.
  6. Try www.k-log.com , we haven't bought direct from them but when we bought our office building they left a desk and their info is on it. High priced but we were impressed with the quality of the desk.
  7. I might get one in several decades when I catch up with Lowrider but until then I think I will stick with not having one.
  8. I beg to differ, it's not an excuse, it's the way I choose to raise my kid. If your guidance is what you hear in church, more power to you but it doesn't remotely make it the right way or an inappropriate response. ETA - Have you ever heard a preachers kid talk when they don't know an adult is around? Nuff said...
  9. Agreed! I would rather hear a kid saying that in a "well dang" kind of way than some of these kids who may not say the words but their crappy ass attitude says it for them... Parents worry a lot about the words and not so much the attitude in general of the kid. I will take that sucks over attitude any day!
  10. Welcome Chris and I sooooooo hope this forecast changes...
  11. We also need to alert the New Georgia authorities to the Rocking Chair bandit relocating to their area....
  12. Right behind the newer Racetrac on 278 ( near Aldi )
  13. Well those jobs would require the continued education, duh....
  14. Agreed! The only way I would say to my kid, YOU HAVE TO GO TO COLLEGE, is if there was zero way to get to their goal without it. For example, if one had the ultimate goal of being a vet, then it would be a case of telling them they have to go. I guess I am so jaded by some of the complete moron's who could tell me textbook crap on how to do their job but as soon as one "real life" kink came along that made them have to actually use their logic and reasoning they would come to me and look like ----> . Pretty much WHO you know is way more valualble than WHAT you know in this day and age
  15. You should change that bolded part to, YOU PREFER because honestly you have no idea what most employers prefer. It is a HIGHLY individualized case by case evaluation. Your statement seems to imply it is the norm, and if that was what you meant, I completely disagree. A lot of employers are realizing that it is truly miraculous that some people ever received that coveted paper and will tell you that flat out, that piece of paper isn't quite as valuable as it used to be.
  16. In our industry we network a LOT with others and most would disagree completely with this... Most hiring people find that college degreed individuals feel that they are due a certain level of starting out pay because they do have a degree and in these times, those salaries are usually not realistic. So guess who is offered the job....
  17. I do not have a college degree but make what I would say is above average wages for a degreed person in my field (accounting). I started at the bottom and worked my ass off to get to the top. I will tell my kids the same thing, if you don't want to do the book time, it's up to them, but you can go just as high through applying (common sense), motivation and hard work. (You would be surprised at how many book smart but common sense stupid college graduates there are, I know, I manage a few of them...) So I guess the answer to your question would be, I have no idea. It would depend on the
  18. Try this place, they are near E Paulding Middle. My link
  19. If they do it will probably be in the am.. Do NOT see that happening.
  20. Sorry, but I think Walmart should hire the most qualified and capable person willing to do the job regardless of what their past career choice was.... And I also agree with the previous poster who suggested this might be a ploy to somehow excuse full time employees being cut on hours.
  21. I use whatever is cheaper or convenient.... never had any mechanical issues due to gas...
  22. I took one of them not for the points but for an insurance discount. It was a joke. Pretty much given all the answers and told to take the test. This was ten plus years ago but I suspect it is not much different now...
