  1. Oh and an update... They said the monovision eye is a but under corrected from what they planned, so I am only seeing 20/80 out of that eye and 20/25 out of the other but there is still a good bit of corneal swelling so it may improve after that goes down. Worst case is an enhancement procedure, so overall I am excited not to have my glasses and willing to take on the enhancement if I have to.
  2. Thanks, I have started the drops regularly. Hi Ya CO! Braggart...
  3. Thanks for the input, I just have to stop thinking about it and comparing and I think I will do much better! LOL I don't feel any dry eye at all, so I am having to mentally make notes of when I do the drops and when to do them again so I don't forget. And Surepip, I will be sure to increase the water intake for a while, I can't stand water so that is a huge effort for me.
  4. A few questions for those who said they had it before. I ended up having the partial monovision done, which so far has not been very much of an issue adjusting to other than the eyes learning their job and occassional blurring temporarily. My few questions are: 1. Did you have any "hazing effect" other than the first few hours. My wife had the surgery a week ago and only had the haziness the first day. I still have it to some degree. 2. Did your night vision/low light vision improve? I find it a bit frustrating at times with seeing in low light or at night. I have my first follow up
  5. I think I saw a banner ad for Clark on p.com that has non emergency transport on it... Not sure if it is new or their old one...
  6. Nope, no reference to another site at all... People bitched and moaned about how the site changed and wanted the old p.com back, well it seems it has happened and I for one miss the excitement of the diversity. You may disagree and I am ok with that.... I'm just saying, things must evolve, if they don't they may meet the same fate as other sites. Just an opinion though...
  7. As long as the powers that be run off the people that used to make this place fun then it would be very different. Even when I don't post I still read a good bit and it happens all too often, makes one have absolutely no desire to be a contributor to want to be a part of the success of the site. Just a thought....
  8. This link will help you understand the process: Click Here Typically most banks will give you thirty days, no guarantee of that, so if it is a December foreclosure you should be looking at an early January move out date. Sometimes the date is a little negotiable, but it typically affects the cash offer.
  9. Unfortunately there is no logic to the banking industry right now especially within the mortgage divisions, the moves they are making perplexes almost everyone. I know people that are making full asking price offers on foreclosures and still having to go look for another home out of sheer frustration waiting months and months for any word. At least you have somewhere to go, that is good!
  10. I hate to be the bearer of bad news but loan modifications rarely work out and BOA is the worst among the worst. Prepare for the worst, and IF they actually do something be pleasantly surprised. The good news (if it is even good news) is that if they do foreclose just stay there until they offer you cash for keys to get out. They don't want to evict you, they want you to leave willingly and with the home not trashed. They generally give you thirty days from the foreclosure for the highest cash for keys offer and then it either goes away totally or it is reduced in amount. Good luck.
  11. Was he nearsighted? Can you ask him if he had any change in his reading vision?
  12. I am confused, I thought as long as a person had permission to drive your vehicle the car was covered in case of an accident. My brother wrecked my truck many years ago and they verified he had a car of his own and insurance and they covered it. Maybe it is different with kids?
  13. Yes, we were actually very comfortable with the people, we went to LasikPlus at Galleria and the lady offered that I could see a procedure. I honestly think that I would prefer not to though. I would stress about it. So could you read fine with your glasses or contacts but couldn't without glasses? They told me they would give a sample lens thing of what the mono vision would be like just before the surgery so we could pretty much tell if we wanted it or not, I just want to do as much research as possible. My wife is going a week before me and we both pretty much have the same vision we w
  14. Thanks for everyone's feedback, we had or evaluation today and both my wife and I are good candidates for the lasik procedure. We have it scheduled, but now have another decision to make. Regular lasik or mono vision lasik. FYI, we are both 40 and wear contacts, regular contacts, no bifocals or additional reading glasses are needed. My question is, did you have any issues with reading after your procedure? I don't mind the reading glasses later on if needed, but I don't want to have to use them just to look at my watch, etc. Any input would be appreciated!
  15. The others were helpful... yeah, you... notsomuch!
  16. My family loves the water, so that is a big factor in wanting this...
  17. Wow! That says a lot to know you have gone through all of that and still would do it all over again!
  18. Apparently that isn't an issue anymore, Emory has had great success apparently with cataract removal after Lasik.
  19. Was it vision insurance or your medical insurance?
  20. No unfortunately it doesn't. My understanding is some bigger companies may offer a vision discount towards Lasik, but it is minimal.
  21. Thanks for the info, did they tell him why he couldn't have the Lasik? I couldn't imagine having one eye at a time done, that would be very odd to see good in one and not the other!
  22. Who did you use? How was the overall experience/recovery? Would you do it again? I am looking and it seems to range from about $3000-$4000, was that your experience? I have been considering it for years and think now might be the time to take the plunge. Thanks for any informationhelp you can give!
  23. It's in Rockmart, and they just opened a new one in Cartersville. Haven't been there yet. Just google the Steakhouse in Rockmart, it will give you the address. I can't tell you how to get there but it is only about three minutes off 278. You won't find it without good directions.
  24. Reputation FAR exceeds location in my opinion, I will drive an hour to have a steak at the Steakhouse in Rockmart without hesitation. They have to be on top of their game from day one and they will make it.
