  1. Sounds like they are really focusing on this issue, GOOD FOR THEM!!!
  2. I understand your position on it, and I do feel the same way, I actually told a friend a few weeks ago how much it pissed me off that they got a lower percentage rate than me in a loan modification, they don't deserve a lower rate than me, I have worked hard all my adult life to be able to get the best mortgage rates. I also agree with the whole welfare society statement, I just think it would be smarter business for the banks... I don't think they owe it to anyone, I think it is just a smarter business move. And I am ok with you flat out disagreeing, cuz I know I'm right!
  3. When a bank is asking for government funds and claiming that they have basically been shut down in large part due to defaulting mortgages it just seems to make sense that they also adjust with the times of figuring out a solution to work with those they have their contracts with. It's not a matter of "why should they", it's more about smart business. I can bet you that had they not received the bailout funds things would be dramatically different. I do get your point, but I think any smart business would see something is better than nothing in the short term. Especially when they typically
  4. You may want to consider furthing your dining horizon beyond Chuck E Cheese...
  5. Loan mods are a complete waste of time 90%+ of the time, the banks need this process to justify their acceptance of the bail out money in my opinion. They make it seem like they are doing everything they can while doing nothing and making the customers sweat day after day for the results. I would suspect they would be singing an entirely different tune had they not been bailed out and found themselves a lot more willing to work with their customers.
  6. I agree, but I never ever guilt tip if they are bad at their job. I do even tip more if they ignored us a bit but you could tell they were busting their butts, and trust me you can tell! I am talking about these people who whine about something so crazy as the way they were greeted, it is a very stupid thing to get so upset over... Life's too short to get upset at stuff like that!
  7. like a lot of the posters above is the exact reason I am not in a service oriented job, I would tell most of you to take your menu and stick it somewhere highly inappropriate for a public setting and suggest you find a prospect of the opposite sex (or same sex if you prefer) and get happy!
  8. Ford Expeditions, my whole family has the older style (1999-2002) and they are incredibly reliable and cheap maintenance wise. I don't get attached to cars at all but I had a 2001 and sold it for a 2008 GMC Yukon and went back and bought a 2002 Eddie Bauer three years ago and never looked back. I love my truck!
  9. You overestimate your abilities.... I am just amazed at your inability to use common sense, there is no value to the milk, there is signifigant value to a home and as I said before you think the mortage/banking industry is corrupt now??? Try your crazy idea and they will be giving out secured loans with just a wink and a slap on the azz to qualify you and foreclosing/repo'ing like never before! Oh, are you friends with Solo??
  10. Are you for real???? I can see holding the personal responsible for the difference between the default amount and what the house was re sold for but to hold them responsible for the initial note is stupid. The banks would be even more eager to make bad loan after bad loan knowing they could get the money for the house ten times over. Either you aren't using all your brain cells or you own a bank with a lot of defaulted mortgages and have one big pipe dream... Either way your post is a bit . I have never defaulted on a loan nor have I declared bankruptcy, but I am certainly glad that i
  11. Good luck getting an answer to that, it seems to have been asked quite a few times with no response....
  12. Did this person seriously upgrade? If not, how do you know it was a splurge versus a monthly outlay reduction? I assume by your post you know they really ramped up their overall debt, so they need some serious reality checks, I am guessing the threat of a foreclosure might do the trick. (But that is only if they were not making a smart move by making their financial postion more realistic.)
  13. But if it allowed them to avoid bankruptcy by paying lower rent and a cheaper car then kudo's to them. They should be patted on the back and not judged I would think. (And I have no idea if this is the situation with your example NG, I am just saying there are times when it is a VERY good move.)
  14. I know someone who recently bought a new car (well not brand new, but new to them) when they had a car payment that approached what most mortgages are and by getting that new car cut their payment in half. So, I would say my answer would be yes in some cases.
  15. After a good rain to get all the crap off the roads, I need you guys to do a good wash job to get mine to looking back like it did Saturday, it's all yucky looking now!
  16. I agree completely! I came through Marietta and Paulding just now, there is no comparison. I was amazed that there appeared to be no salt, sand or anything on Whitlock close to John Ward, it was a mess. It took me almost an hour to get from East Cobb to the Paulding line and ten minutes in Paulding. Amazing difference....
  17. We sure do appreciate the great wood at this point you brought in the fall, it has kept us warm and toasty the past few days!
  18. I have two out of toddlerdom that were in this car through some of the toddler years and there isn't a spot anywhere!
  19. Oh my lawd those pictures don't do it justice! Thank so much, the other drivers are probably not to happy with me or you though because the chrome wheels are blinding everyone! LOL (I just realized the wheels and tires aren't done in the pic, that's why it doesn't look so good, I will get the Mrs. to post a pic she took.)
  20. It will definitely be something from a bag or a box, the Mrs. doesn't cook on the weekends...
  21. When I rented, I asked them to supply their credit report with their credit application and specified that I wanted all three, but Equifax also needed the score with it. They could get them all free themselves except they had to pay a few bucks for the credit score on Equifax.
  22. Mine used to get this way to the point it was painful when I got hot, I would break out in red splotches everywhere that felt like pins sticking in me. I started taking fish oil supplements and drinking three large glasses of water a day and I haven't had dry skin yet this winter and usually by now I was completely miserable. I am not sure if it is the fish oil or the water but I am continuing both because I don't want that feeling back!
  23. Good to hear! My appt is Saturday, I can't wait to see how it turns out.
