  1. Thank's for the advice and yes they are upset they don't understand why thier dad would walk out and have nothing to do with them even though

thier in thier teen's it still hurt's them.I mean what kind of person would do that to a family with no notice at all?

A very selfish person with no regards to his responsibilites.

  2. Because in most cases, it is the man who left. Very rarely will you find a woman wanting to give up her kids. Women are made up differently than men and will do most anything for their kids. Men typically won't go that same distance. I've seen a lot of men leave their families. When a women leaves her kids to her ex you have to wonder what's wrong with her.

First bolded statement - Then you never met my husbands ex-wife....

Second bolded statement - The woman has a sugar daddy....In our situation if we offered my husbands ex enough money she would give us the boys. Right now they are her ONLY income and we don't have enough money to give her......

  3. Question is divorce with children. Is child support based on gross income or net income?I have a friend going through this and also the other spouse walked out and is not willing to pay anything at this point.Say's it's not thier job since they don't live there no more.Just curious I feel so bad for the family.

    Anyone have suggestion's??

My advice....don't let child support become the biggest issue. Make sure that her kids happiness and well being are her main focus. I'm sure they are already devistated that their family is splitting up, don't let them hear the word "child support" all the time. I am dicorced as well, I never let my son hear "your daddy's not paying....etc". They didn't ask to be brought in this world and they sure didn't ask for the hell that comes along with it.....

Tell your friend Good Luck and hang in there.....

  4. You can contact your bank or any bank and ask them for a CD loan. You take out a loan for the minimum that they will loan out, put the loan proceeds into a CD and put that CD up for collateral. Usually the loan rate is 2% higher than what the CD is paying. CD rates are very low, so your loan rate will be low too.

Ask the lender to figure payments for you on 12, 18 and 24 months. See what payment will fit your budget then pay on it till it's paid off. Then when it's paid off you can cash in your CD or just renew your CD and keep the money in savings.

The good thing is if it becomes a problem making the payment then the back can close your CD and pay your loan off.

When I was in banking, I did alot of these loans for customers. Some did good, some I had to cash in the CD and pay the loan off. The bank can't loose on this type loan, no risk for them.

  5. Thanks for all your input. I will definetly try to finish it. I am like "Ash", I like it when Edward is in it more. He makes everything seem so safe. I feel like when the book talks about his cold, stone chest that you can almost feel it.

Oh gosh, I am sounding weird, getting out of here!!!! :pardon:

  6. I was there yesterday!! It was a long day. Got there at 3:45AM and signed out at 6:30PM.....I now have a new appreciation for what goes on behind the scenes in a movie. They crew doesn't get enough credit. Especially when trying to get through wardrobe.

I don't know if every set has a "Queen Wardrobe Designer" like Julie, but buddy she could crack the wip!!! When she walked in the door, her presence spoke it all! You didn't mess with her at all.....

All in all, it was a great experience. I was amazed at all the people that were there from out of state. They even had agents that sent them there and were not even getting paid. Heck, I lived 20 minutes away and got paid for it. I couldn't imagine going all day like that and driving home 4 or 5 hours and not getting paid. I guess I don't have a love for the business like they do.

Pubby, I saw you yesterday, but didn't speak because I didn't want to blow my cover on p.com.......

Also, who was the black man that is playing in the movie? It has drove me crazy. He has played in tons of movies. I got my pic made with him.

Hope everyone had as much fun as I did!!!!!

  7. Last night on ANTM dale Jr.'s ex made the top 12. What do you all think about her?

If only I wasn't happily married....Junior would have loved me!!! My friend could have introduced me while she was dating Tony Stewart. I had to stay away from him because he would have been heart broken knowing that he couldn't have me for his own.....

  8. What are you doing for your Twilight fix after you have read and reread the novels?

    Any suggestions?

I can't get finished with the 3rd book, its gotten kind of goofy and far fetched. I am going to have to make myself finish it. Is it worth it????

  9. Are you serious?????????????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Oh my God, that's so great!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And now I know to go take pictures!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Pickett's Mill makes more sense than the old dragstrip as fas as where to film. Lord have mercy, if you get a chance, give Robert Duvall a huge hug for me, and Sissy Spacek too for that matter!

    Here's the link.

  10. I have NO idea and won't mention tunnels :) If the rumor is correct having those folks in town would be pretty neat. If you are within walking distance you might just land a job as an extra and be on the big screen. :p

I am!!! I go tomorrow for my wardrobe approval and hopefully film Saturday with them. I don't know what I will be doing. He just said to wear close toe shoes, panty hose and a 1930's style dress. My cousin has alot of her grandmothers cloths, shoes, etc. He doesn't know if my hair will be a problem since I have highlights, so he said they may "wig" me. It was pretty cool talking to the guy.

  11. No info on the tunnels, thanks, I already know how reliable that is.

I know that the rumor is that there's a movie being filmed here with Robert Duvall, Sissy Spacek, Bill Murray and the kid from Slingblade, which is totally cool.

Anyway, there were a lot of vehicles and a lot of activity going on there a couple of weeks ago, it cleared out after a couple of days, and today there are signs out saying "crew only" and tons and tons of cars and eqmt.

Just curious - I live within almost walking distance of there and would love to know what's going on (and please don't let this entire thread be devoted to the tunnels, I would really like to know, actually, what's going on over there.)

They are filming the movie Get Low.

  12. Yeppers this what I did, infact for all the birthdays parties until they where older, I would bake the cake, hang some balloons, and streamer, invite the ones who had a kid that age, and let them eat cake and ice cream and play, then if they had gifts to open they opened them, and played some more and then everyone went home, and I cleaned up the mess.. and the birthday boy was ready for a nap LOL but it was a lot cheaper to do that.

I agree! Do it at home! All the other years of entertaining the guests and kids will come soon enough.

Then you can do like me when he turns 13.... havenine 13 year old boys ride the bus home with your son, load them up and take them to Hooters and then they spend the night.....BOY WAS I READY FOR SATURDAY!!!!! Whew!!

  13. I was mad about that too, however, it was not Abney's space. The highest bidder got that land, and we know Walgreens has more money than the Paulding County BOE. Also, Walgreens was kind enough to add turn lanes into the back parking lot of our school, they didn't have to do that. Abney has been "land-locked" for years. People who own land on every side want high dollars, Walgreens won the bid. As much as we would all like to have seen Abney expand, the almighty dollar won.

Oh yes they did have to if they wanted approval from Planning and Zoning.

  14. What Phelps does in his private life is his business... The DUI I understand he could kill someone but the pot thats his damn business he should have been more careful about it... Yes I understand he is a role model for a lot of children but the damn media has to stick their nose where it doesn't belong...He's a grown man......

I won't even get started on the woman with the fifty lebben kids....

I agree!! ....He probably didn't know then that he would be a public icon years later. My gosh he was 18!!!

Give the guy a break!!! Everybody has skelatons in their closet. All that matters is that he has made different choices now.

  15. Yes, I do remember the Grand Slam Grill.

Here is the easy recipe I have.

5/6 potatoes, shredded or 1 bag frozen hash browns

    1 small onion, chopped

    3 Cups Chicken broth

    1 Cup Water

    Salt & Pepper

Bring to a boil, cover & simmer for 30 min, or until potatoes are tender (stir often)

    Add:

1 Can cream of chicken soup

1 Can cream of celery soup

    2 Cups Milk

    Simmer for 30 minutes.

Thank you, thank you, thank you....this is the best recipe that I have seen. I am making me some tonight!!!

  16. Does anyone remember Grand Slam Grill? It was where the old Del Taco n/k/a Baby Janes is now.

I loved their loaded potato soup!!!! I can't find any like it anywhere so I am reaching out to all you good cooks of Paulding.com to help me.

  17. They do? Thats news to me. The state athletic associations is in charge of that I believe.

This is a Christian/private school. I went to a Christian school and they were able to change our leagues in basketball when I played. One year we were put in a higher bracket and got our butts handed to us.... we played teams like Warner Robins and Avondale.

If I am wrong about the state athletic associate, please accept my aplogizes.... :pardon:
