Don't feel bad about it. We all have those times.

I think we are FB friends, but it's not you. You're a whole other type of crazy...as in "I can't believe he just jumped outta that plane with nothing but a parachute and a thong! That dude's CRAZY!"
-
Oh, I don't even get on facebook anymore...and "crazy" and I haven't been FB friends since I said something about her posting about my family. I'm actually miffed about her mouth and the words that come out of it, not the words she is typing. But at the same time, to respond to it is to lower myself to her crazyass level.

Ever want to say something to get it off your chest, then decide not to be like those people that post their dirty laundry in their facebook updates?! Sometimes I get tired of taking the high road and just want to tell some people what I really think of them. But, then I realize it would do no good. You can't argue with crazy...they will never understand.

Well there was a cat fight in the wall last night. I was woke up at 1:30 AM with hissing, growling, thumping, etc. coming from the wall. I removed the piece of wood I put up that covers the hole I put in the wall when looking for the cats. Another adult cat, (possibly the father?)attempted to infiltrate Mama Cat's hidey-hole and she was none too pleased. She kicked his butt and then growled for the next hour. Fun times.

so funny and yet sooo...wait, it's just funny!

:sigh: I do miss the old days...

It wasn't in the air vent after all. The mama comes and goes via the hole where pipes come into the house. We had a mama and kittens in the air vent in my house growing up. Our basement garage had an air intake on the wall right above a shelf. The mama cat found her way in and made a home. We had to move them, but they were all right.

The mewing is keeping my son up at night, though. And it's driving my cat crazy! He can't figure out what is going on!

I didn't even realize it. I guess I need to treat my staff to something nice...maybe smoothies or something.

All Saturday, I heard a kitten in the air vent in my bathroom. I was home alone and so worried about it. I paid a guy to crawl under the house and check on it. No kitten found. Sunday: Found 'em! Cat and two small kittens IN THE WALL! She climbed in through the hole where pipes come up from the ground and go to my bathroom. They have a "nest" between my shower and the inside of the wall. Mama and two babies. Wow! I now have a hole in my wall where I am feeding them. I'm going to open it bigger this weekend, extract the kittens and find them homes. Don't you just love sheetrocking

I loved Paulding Kid's University at the corner of Ridge Road and hwy 61. Both of my boys went there until they were too old.

That's wonderful!

I don't know. If that were the case, he'd just wait a short while until ol' Zsa Zsa buys the farm, then marry the mother of the child, or pay her off at the least. I think he must just be nuts!

There is a pretty severe wreck in front of my house on S. 61 across from Food Lion. Does anyone know anything about it? Someone just called me here at work about it.

Been okay. I took a hiatus from all online when my huband was diagnosed with cancer last spring. He's great now and I'm coming out of my funk from it, so I'm easing back to online activities. Hey JR, I'll be at the Women's Retreat again this Year! Yay!

Since nobody is talking, guess I'll go back to my book...The Zombie Chronicals: Outbreak. Good plot; poorly written. Still gotta finish it though. PS Pubby, PCOM is soooo much more personal than Facebook. Thank you for making this available.

I am a 34 year old mother of 2, and have 7 zombie novels on my kindle, and shelve them in my home, plus about every zombie movie ever made. I think there may be something wrong with me...

Did anyone see the documentary The Bride Was Seven? It was about child marriages in Etheopia. It was just horrible. The average age of a child bride is 7 or 8 but some marry off their daughters as young as 4.

am I the only one who feels it is exceedingly rude of employers
jlynnlaas replied to Mama Carol's topic in RECENT TOPICS
As someone that does the hiring, I try to always email a response to those that are not hired. However, I have had emails returned for wrong addresses, and found phone numbers disconnected when I've called. I think if you are actively seeking work, you should make sure that your resume contact info is up-to-date. Now in the past, I have applied for many jobs and most denials where never call-backs. I was trained that it was my responsibility to contact the interviewer a week after the interview to follow up. If you really want the job, you have to be persistant. -
How honest have you been with your children?
jlynnlaas replied to catalanojo's topic in RECENT TOPICS
I am honest about some things and lie to them about others. They need to think that I have always had high morals, even if I didn't at their ages. I would see my mother in a totally different light and respect her less if I thought she was a pot-smoking slut in highschool. Nope. My Mama was an angel, a goody-two-shoes and I will always try to live up to that. I hope my children are the same. The only thing I can't hide was the premarital sex because I was pregnant when I got married. But I was also engaged for 6 months prior to getting pregnant, and for all by children know, that was my -
Do you think a rapist or the parents of a rapist should be able to have custody of a baby that is the product of that rape? What if the victim wants to give the baby up for adoption? Should the rapist's parents be aloud to adopt their grandchild? Now, what if the victim is a minor male and the rapist is a woman? Shouldn't the male victim be able to petition the court for a closed adoption? What if he doesn't want the rapist/mother to ever gain custody? If her family adopts the child, she will have access to that child. It seems like things like this are treated differently if t

Tragic Air Crash in New Hope April 4, 1977

My father, Dr. Jerry L. Worthy was honored by the FAA for his efforts. He was there for 3 days straight. It had a huge impact on him. He talked about it all my life. I actually have the original transcripts from the FAA investigation and from the black box. I found them among my father's belongings after he passed away. I passed on a copy to Dr. Covington a few years ago. I think he was able to post them somewhere. -
Me too! I love it. I just wish they were backlit. I guess that will be next year's model.
