Does anyone know who took the picture of Daddy that he has as his profile pic? I really would like to get it printed for the funeral in maybe an 8x10 or 10x14. I believe it was someone on pcom that did it. I'd really like it if I could get my hands on it. Please PM me.

I believe that we should all strive to be that kind of person that people will miss when you are gone. Someone asked me one time, "what did I want people to think of me when I'm no longer here?" Daddy is still hanging on. He is growing weaker though. It is very peaceful in here today. We all went home last night, only Debra stayed. He is just doing this, like everything else he did, HIS WAY!! With as many scares as he has given us over the years I just keep expecting him to sit up and ask for a BC powder, a Sprite, and a cigarette at any moment... although I know that won't happen this time. He's very peaceful today though.

Daddy rested comfortably throughout the night. Tough old bird isn't going to give up too easily. You all have no idea how much your kind words, phone calls, messages, visits, etc mean to us and to Daddy. He loves so many of you like family. His body just can not take anymore. Thank you all for loving him and being such a great family to him over the years. LPPT, Lady Raider, or I will keep you all posted.

LGM you can come anytime. If it is after 8pm you just need to call us and we can let you in. there's no set hours for visitation. Go to Kennestone Hospital. Take Tower Road (next to Kennestone and across from Rite Aid). Once it deadends take a right onto Kennesaw Avenue. Take the first left at Dickson Drive at the Signature Care sign. Follow that street back and it deadends into the parking lot. If any of you want to come, you are welcome.

UPDATE: We spoke to the nurses everything has developed faster than they expected. If you would like to see him please come by the hospice within the next two days.

I'm sure he'll be back on pcom giving everyone hell just as soon as he can get home to his computer.

I've received a lot of texts, calls, etc about what is going on with Dad (a.k.a JohnnyJ) and I honestly just haven't slowed down long enough to let everyone know mainly because I'm still piecing together the details myself. When I heard this earlier today my first thought was I can't believe they would do that but then when I heard what all the kid did... that changes things. Daddy would never go for the full-time oxygen. We would most likely have to argue about it first! It is nothing short of God that he has made it through everything he has and still has the quality of life he does. He's not the same that he used to be but he is still is so much better than most. I am so sorry you are having to go through this with your mom. Praying for you both.

Oh yummy... Top picks around our house include Tequila, Jalapeno Joes, and La Cocina. We are regulars at Tequila in the plaza. La Cocina is good too and very clean place. We've never had any problems there. Jalapeno Joes... p.com member and good food and good prices. Huey Lueys does have good food but be ready pay for it if you go. Honestly we can eat just as good at any of the three I mentioned above for almost half the price of what we spent at Huey Lueys. Happy eating!
