I have no idea I asked David Austin about this and he replied that it was posted on the front door of the Terminal building and the front door of the administration Building and that was all that was necessary I do find it a little odd that the airport Authority previously used the Paulding.gov calendar web site to post special called meetings and only stopped using this when they started having secret meetings for the airport. I mean lets be real a two day off site in another county and that is not posted on the County web site REALLY!!!!! here we go again " in complete openness of the

Heck I can remember when no one knew they even had a off site. It is hard for a citizen to know about these secret meetings if they are not posted on the Paulding.gov web site I believe they were trying to hide the details. Of course the chamber will assert "in complete openness of the public"

If the commissioners had to use their dollars to fight these cases I am sure things would be a lot different. Given the fact that unlimited tax dollars can be spent I am quite sure that they will continue to find reason's to prolong law suits I believe that there is some very deep pockets fighting this law suit and they will have to win the airport suit based on the merits of the claim not by stalling and appealing like they have done you. What is most important to me is the tax dollars being spent to further their agenda against something the majority of citizens do not want, Reminds me

Why were the minutes just now being issued for the June two day meeting? Why was the normal method of notification of Airport authority meetings not put on the Paulding.gov web site, where citizens wishing to attend could be aware of it? Why was the meeting held in Douglasville and not in Paulding County, We have business that would of been more than happy to cater the meetings and provide refreshment? Never mind..... I know..... since the top leadership was involved they had to be open, honest and transparent You got to give that group credit though they really know how to

I actually saw some really revealing things occur at the Airport Authority meeting and the IBA meeting that probably most people were not aware of. One thing that stood out the most for me was the fact that all members of the IBA were also members of the Airport Authority. Now how in the world did that happen Looking back at the loan that was approved today from the IBA to the AA for one million dollars could that be some conflict of interest.... No not a chance....... But wait the Commission Chairman David Austin serves on both of these boards and it seems like I recall some minute

Pubby I really wish that I was aware of this post while I was there? Actually I am glad that I didn't. Folks I will not fall out with what Pubby or anyone else who post on this site but........................ I will try to get even. Pubby I owe you one.

BB I did it again, Will someone please cancel my vote out on this reply I voted this post up in error? Of course BB you are entitled to your opinion, And I am surely entitled to mine. When the leadership of this County affix there names to a full page ad supporting the actions of the Airport Authority and state in part...." we do believe that this agreement was made following all legal requirements, in complete openness of the public and in the best interest of the county." To me that is a powerful statement, And should only be made if they had supporting evidence that the dea

Not really if we only have a couple of flights per day as our leaders first stated I do have a bad habit of taking people for their word unless........ of course they start lying misstating the truth

A another vote/ promise/ whatever does not mean anything to those elected officials who think that a 90 second open meeting is being open honest and transparent. on a issue that is as vital to the well being of all citizens To make deals that are binding you must have open honest and trusty worthy people to make the deal with. Nothing will be accomplished until after the May primary votes. Why compromise now, the project has halted the courts have got to rule. Like David and the others treated Surepip lets appeal and appeal and appeal. I believe when the Commissioners come before th

Just like the movie deal another pipe dream that is doomed to failure but Hey it is only tax payer dollars a airport that was to cost only $25 million and has now grown to over $70 million and has never turned a profit is doomed to failure according to this article Paulding County’s planned airport won’t thrive in tough industry By David Pendered The planned commercial airport in Paulding County won’t do well in the competitive airline business, the chief of Atlanta’s airport on Wednesday told members of the Georgia Chamber of Commerce. Paulding County's proposed commercia

Pubby if we do not do the upgrade then the contract is null and void, Pretty simple way to resolve the entire issue.

Pubby is not proposing a compromise, he is proposing that the group opposing the airport expansion to withdraw the law suits. And came up with some kind of crazy idea that would require our esteem leaders to make another promise not to expand the airport ant further. We had that promise as recent as 2012. They broke that promise what makes you think they would keep another one I say throw out Barnett and Graham, re elect Pownall and then start a recall on Austin and Carmichael and elect someone in those post who would be honest, open and transparent Keep the law suits going until those can

Lady Raider For some reason I have a real good feeling that this airport project will be stopped dead in its tracks

The airport authority will be meeting tomorrow at 9:00 AM Everyone is welcome see you there :clapping:

I really like the avenue that the group is taking. I really like the chances we have of exposing some things that would really shake up this discussion. Of course there are still some folks that think the law suits is a lost cause but......... I am really of the opinion that the two citizens that brought this suit will be victorious at least the truth is on their side. And of course time is on the side of those that brought the law suit. Pubby you should be proud that we have finally found a way to hold our elected officials. responsible for their actions. All this little

I truly hope that some citizen/group with some deep pockets will contest this in the superior court in Paulding County And the Georgia Supreme Court Although the elected leaders are trying to cram this down our throats folks. It ain't over til the fat lady sings. Contact your commissioners, FAA, State and federal Representatives Honest, open and Transparent government is what we expect, And should settle for no less.

Pubby I am going to place the blame squarely where it belongs. None of this could of occurred without the full force and support of the top elected appointed and business leaders of Paulding County. Both elected, appointed, and some business leaders bought into the concept oft secretly turning our airport into a commercial passenger facility. A meeting of less than two minutes to pass something that will affect every person in this county using codes names does not set to well with me. One of the most disturbing aspects of this entire deal, in my opinion, is the full page ads ran by

Pubby You ducked the question I will ask again. Now Pubby after you have the opportunity to view both of these videos will you please tell me where and when the contract Dated November 28 2012 was talked about openly in a Airport authority meeting As has been contended for months now

Now Pubby after you have the opportunity to view both of these videos will you please tell me where and when the contract Dated November 28 2012 was talked about openly in a Airport authority meeting I can save you some time if you like. The first tape was the first part of the meeting at the end of the tape they went into closed session. When they came out of closed session was the only discussion that I heard during the entire meeting concerning Silver Comet Partners. The minutes even support the what was taped. Are you really okay with this?

Hey pubby can you help me out a little on this airport meeting http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FPPK8ukmPjMww.youtube.com/wat http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FPPK8ukmPjMch?v=tgt5kr0lpCc It appears that these two you tubes is the meeting where you assert that the Agreements were hammered out with silver comet partners discussed openly honestly and very transparent, And nothing was discussed in secret?
-
Pubby first no one on this board has the authority to negotiate or mediate this issue Secondly I do not believe anyone with the group that filed the law suit would ever buy into your BS proposal, At least I would hope they would not Thirdly what is the incentive to agree on such a proposal. you got to keep in mind one simple thing eight years ago the top leaders in this county both elected, appointed and business owners bought into the concept of building a General Aviation Airport. And it was done. This was not the commitment from just Calvin Thompson. It was a commitment from almost al

Pubby let me suggest that If you want me to calm down a bit them first you are going to have to tone down some of the BS that you are spewing out of your mouth You do know that respect is a two way street. You get back what you put out to me. I probably will have to eat The words that I am about to type but here goes................. You stated above
