What is really amazing is how quick she learned to use all the special features associated with posting. I mean bang second post and she is beating it out

[Pubby you wrote Pubby I know you have a lot on your mind But I am just a little surprised that you would make mention of me being away for a year and not mention why ? But that is okay I understand that you have a job to do? What I do not understand though is why you have not played the phone conversation that Todd Pownall gave you? I am quite sure that Concerned Pldg Resident would be interested in hearing it. PUBBY THAT IS NEWS play it already!!!!
-
It is a covert deal because this is the only public discussion of the silver comet deal If you are so sure about what you are posting about Todd Pownall I challenge you to confront him publicly at the next BoC meeting, Heck call him out on it right there while it is being recorded

I prefer Town Hall Type meetings do not even have to build a convention center to hold the crowd. Let each Commissioner chair the meetings in their respective post and let the people have their say in a open forum, Save all the money on mailing the items out and returning them. Open up the polls and let the people vote Oh I almost forgot you are the one that keeps wanting to know who is funding the six concerned citizens. I fail to see what difference it makes, What concerns me is the tens of thousands of tax dollars that David Austin continues to spend defending the actions t
-
Does uncle Jerry own the land that is being considered for the new convention center? Strange that this land has been sitting there all this time?

Pretty simple solution to this post. 1 prove that Delta is behind this group of concerned citizen. 2 Let the citizens vote as to whether they want commercial passenger service since they were promised by our leaders that this was going to be a General aviation Airport. 3 Let all the business leaders that support this passenger service signify there support by placing a sign in the entrance of their business proclaiming their desire to have commercial passenger service and asking their customers to support this endeavor. And by all means run another full page ad listing all the

I will retract that statement that is bolded right now and will stand behind the fact that he does support the expansion of the Airport and rail service into Paulding County I can assure all that I had no intentions of posting something that is not correct.
-
News Junky I went back and looked at the article again and it appears to me that Senator Dugan does in fact support the expansion of the airport............. Now I was not at the meeting and have not heard what was said but here is what was reported as being said I do not think I mislead anyone on Senator Dugan.
-
I may be mistaken about where Dugans district is I assumed since he was with Maxwell that he also was representing the airport area. I am not mistaken as to what he was quoted as saying Senator Dugan does represent a portion of Paulding County. Heath is my State Senator I knew that I am not a leader of anything, and have no desire to be a leader. Got to old for that. I do want to be credible though and I try to have supporting articles or facts when I post, I will try to find out where Dugans district is and if necessary will post any corrections. Will you point me to the post wher

Pubby you must of forgot what started this discussion. I wasn't me it was senator Dugan All I did was link to the article in the local news paper where he was quoted. I am not abandoning anything, You keep forgetting I lived through the massive explosion of rapid growth at Hartsfield Jackson Had kin folks that lived at the edge of the first paved run way in College Park Ga. You can defend and misinform all you want too, I know first hand what has happened to Clayton County Georgia. I lived in Riverdale for many years and I saw first hand what a commercial airport can do to a town lik

Pubby Your explanation of this sentence makes no sense at all, Remove the bracketed MARTA and the sentence does not read right at all. But hey news Junky has access to a video and she could post that or Senator Dugan can ask for a retraction..... Or people can just take it for face value. Just so I understand what other rail could be extended?

It appears that another major facility that the citizens have previously voted down is resurfacing and is nearing a reality. A study has been conducted and plans are moving forward to bring a $ 18,000,000 dollar conference center/ hotel complex into the area of 120 and 278 If my memory serves me right this is in the vicinity of the previously proposed site that the voters rejected in a referendum. Is the Chamber and the IBA at it again? Will their be a question on this years primary ballot to support this http://dallas-hiram.patch.com/groups/business-news/p/study-paulding
-
Since you do not believe me............ He said he supports the proposed expansion and would like to see other alternative forms of transportation expand into Paulding County, particularly rail service. “It would be nice to see [MARTA] extend out a little bit,” Dugan said. http://neighbornewspapers.com/view/full_story/23904657/article-State-lawmaker-asks-Delta-to--leave-us-alone--on-Paulding-airport-plan?instance=all

Pubby I know better to ask this question but.............. Where do you get the figure of 100,000,000 that pass through Atlanta annually? I know you did not just reach out and pull in a figure but......... I am hearing more like say 45,000,000?
-
Well if I was Senator Dugan and I had a tape that plainly states that I was misquoted then I would demand a retraction from the paper. As I said earlier I would like to hear the tape and hear not only what Dugan had to say in the entire meeting, I would also like to hear what Maxwell had to say. But hey if you don't want to play it no big deal I will be watching to see if Dugan gets a retraction printed.
-
I guess the newspaper reporter mis quoted senator Dugan. You do know that the article was a quote from him. Maybe you can play it for us all to hear, I am also interested in What Maxwell said as well Can you make that happen?
-
I have no idea do you? Hell I do not believe that is possible anywhere.e

It really depends on who you talk too The Word on the street was a couple of flights per day. Paul Callahan who was suppose to be the chairman of the chamber supposedly had a conversation with Brett Smith and it was disclosed that the true goal was about a million passengers per year. Mr. Callahan voted not to support further development of the airport According to a letter from Mr. Balfour. And was subsequently removed from the position of Chairman elect for 2014. In just a short period of time the airport went from two fights per day to over 27 fights per day. If I was ru

During the election for commission Chairman and Post #1 commissioner in 2012 there was no mention of Commercial passenger service by either of the two candidates that won that election. Within four months of that election they both were sitting in the dark of the night secretly negotiating away the entire General Aviation Airport And one of those was a new commissioner who had not even been sworn into office yet.
-
Sorry Pubby I do not have any movie channels, But.......... You did make my case for me. Why would the PCAA and The IBA be so out of touch with reality as to think they could compete with Hartsfield Jackson and the city of Atlanta for Commercial Passenger service? What were they thinking?? I mean lets be real we have a general aviation airport, That is going to cost the Tax payers millions before the first flight, and then we have to wade through all the law suits. Really for a couple of fights a day??? And if the county wins whom is going to pay for all this?? I mean where is t

ER ......Ahem..... sir who are you to say that I am being intellectually dishonest? If you had been paying attention Tundra posted the plan for MARTA way back. In addition State Senator Dugan I believe was the politician that most recently.... October of this year was speaking at a Town Hall Type meeting held by the local Chamber and he spoke of the need for MARTA and this was reported in the local fish wrapper. You should know that this state senator's district does include the airport among other areas of this county. Unless Pubby has anointed you as a moderator of this board I believe

Pubby I see you are still on the payroll? I made a point.. people on the pro expansion side of this debate are playing hardball, Turn about is fair play. Any way that you want to debate this issue it still comes to the fact our leaders went behind our backs, Cut a deal with a NYC salesman, who got our leaders to secretly negotiate a contract to provide commercial passenger service from our airport that has been designated and built as a general Aviation Airport by the FAA and the leadership of this County. Once this contract was negotiated our leaders decided to keep the secret fo

Beach Bum This issue is not going to go away by you bashing some of the folks that are against the airport expansion. I have heard it with my on ears, one of the top leaders of this county bashing and belittling a couple of the persons that filed the first law suit. This individual is out in the public everyday talking about the people that are a part of the grass roots movement to stop the airport expansion. Whether you agree or disagree we were lied to by a lot of very influential people, When the story broke in October no one in your group came forth and stated the facts about

I fail to see what bearing it has on the law suit filed today. I do note that it is a article that is posted on a face book site that supports the airport. Of course these people do not live in or around Paulding county and have no skin in the game nor will they have to pay the higher taxes that will follow any expansion of the airport. Not to even mention MARTA and what it brings to a county. A million more folks driving to the airport does not seem very desirable to me.
