HJIA to serve 100,000,000 passenger - most for any airport ever
WHITEY replied to gpatt0n's topic in RECENT TOPICS
Pubby I have asked several people if they knew of any airport currently managed / operated by propeller that the taxpayers of this County could look at to see if they ( propeller) had a successful business plan???? Are you aware of ANY AIRPORT that propeller has managed or operated in the past or at the present time. I am having a very difficult time discovering any successful airport that they have on their resume. Surely since you and David are so adamant about propeller commercializing our airport, then you are aware of at least one success story that they have attained right??? -

What is really scary Pubby is the stupidity being shown by david and his cronies to even think they could compete with HJIA -
Since the payment topic was brought up.
WHITEY replied to cookies are sweet's topic in RECENT TOPICS
We will never know why these payments were made early, this is the way that Chairman Austin has operated on all matters concerning the airport'. SECRETLY AND COVERTLY!!!!!! Chairman Austin and his brother Boykin were both aware that the payment to the board of education for the bus shuttles were improper yet $13,000,plus was paid by the airport authority for this service. Both were aware that the air show had never turned a profit and that the air show owed the PCAA thousands of dollars from previous air shows yet they continued to vote for more dollars for more air shows, And in fact th -
Wow ....Now that is a new twist, The PCAA allows a private non profit organization to use our airport FREE OF CHARGE., The tax payers of this County pay for all the expenses for the use of the facility... AGAIN!!! And the promoter did not/ or could not pay the vendors for all of their services provided, And now we are responsible to pay any and all unpaid bills and the promoter just walks away, And we do not have a clue how much was made or lost and further more cannot find out unless they volunteer tell us.?? Rose ,if you had watched the last meeting you would see that the airpo

I agree, It is the same thing as a advancement, first the IBA fails to make the payment on the film studio then they need an advancement during the same period of time/ Time to get the feds involved before this gets out of hand. can someone please explain why the airport authority paid the BOE for the bus shuttles for the air show. $13,000 + hey David you got some explaining to do. I thought that was a private non profit organization that put on this air show. They owed this money as well as the $15,000 for the corporate tents David you may as well come clean this ain't going a

Pubby David put you back on the payroll??? Hey....... I have a idea.... can you tell me one successful airport that propeller has/is running?????
-
Heck using your opinion David could write checks right now for all payments due until 2024, You are not even being realistic, there was a reason that the payments were set up in two equal yearly installments.

Let me make myself clear, They need to replace everyone of them with citizens who not afraid to have a Town Hall type meeting and get up and speak to the citizens and explain why they broke a avowed promise. They need to be open honest and transparent and do the business on the citizens in open meetings, Not meet in open session for 10 minutes and then go into closed session for the rest of the meeting. and never report out any action taken during the closed session. They need to stop paying the air show bills out of tax dollars!!!!! That has not been allocated for that purpose.
-
Wow..... so some think it s okay for the airport members to not attend the entire meeting??? The only meeting in over two years in which the FAA was involved. So they are given the keys to a $70,000,000 facility and another half million a year in tax dollars to run the facility and folks should not expect the Airport Authority members to stay for the entire meeting??? I think the AA has reached a new low with a majority of the Paulding County residents and they should be ashamed and replaced with board members who do care enough to listen to all the citizens

Don't be fooled by what Carmichael tells you, he has served on the Airport Authority for about eight years before he was elected commissioner in 2012. He did not resign his post to run for commissioner as others had to do, but rather after he was elected to post 1 commissioner remained on the airport authority until 1/1/2013. Carmichael was part of the secret negotiations held in October and November 2012, and was also part of the scheme to not allow the citizens of his post and the county to become aware of the agreement to provide commercial passenger service for almost a year after the co

I remember Roger quite well, he was my commissioner back in the day of the Bill Carruth Jerry Shearin Days I have had enough of the good old boys, he was beaten pretty handily by Larry Ragsdale in 2004 what has changed about him? He was the last commissioner to try and get the airport in1999. The pretty write up in the Paulding Neighbor may fool some but he can't fool me on the airport issue!!!!! He had his shot and failed, time for some new blood the GOB's need to all be voted out BTW someone please tell what he did while he was commissioner ?????

I have not talked to the attorney representing the Airport Authority about the Ultra Vires law suit. I have attended every hearing they have had in Paulding County, and listened intently at the proceedings. That does not make me smarter than you, but it does make me more informed than you since I do try to find out what is happening in Paulding County that directly affects me and my family Dave Carmichael QUIT his post mid term and as a result the people in post # 1 do not have any representation on the commission until at least Mid to late March Dave knew or should of known -

So now the three commissioners who graduated from high school are not smart enough to do economic development.. Wow... Funny all three have pretty good businesses going here in the County and do employ more folks than you do, as a college grad. Todd Pownall was smart enough to vote against the film studio And all the Grads on the IBA Board and the chamber of commerce, and yes even the Commission Chairman was in 100% support of making Paulding County the Hollywood of the South, Oh and the director of the AA with all of his credentials could not even build or design a corporate hanger without -

Have you ever seen a train do to a town what Hartsfield Jackson Airport did to Clayton County? Heck they even piped the Flint river through that airport, and bridged two major interstates, Drove up the taxes in the county among the highest in the State Pubby its not the cargo that the planes carry , its the tens of millions of passengers that will be trying to get around Paulding County once they get the major hub set up. Pubby it is the secret meetings that the Airport Authority continues today, For instance the past two regular meetings last about ten minutes each and the rest of the me -

Nice Green What I saw was a continuation of the secrecy that seems to follow him around in all of his dealings!!! Since before his election in July 2012 Of Course all the issues surrounding the airport and the secret meetings that have and continue to be held could very easily be resolved. It appears that you along with BeachBum, Jane TY, Rockys Mom and a few more think that David Austin is being honest and above board open and transparent then will you encourage him to hear the Ultra Vires Case that has been pending in the Superior Court of Paulding County since December 2014???? Chairman claims appointment right on IBA; post commissioners divided
WHITEY replied to gpatt0n's topic in Fastread page
All of the issues dividing the County could be resolved simply by going to court and hearing the pending cases. David Austin has stonewalled the ultra vires case going into the third year this month, This case could have the impact of resolving the entire airport issue. When David Austin and Boyd Austin have a grip on the Industrial Building Authority and the Airport Authority like they have (or think they have) then nothing is ever going to court to be resolved. Since December 2014 David Austin has been attempting to change the IBA through resolutions passed By the IBA, PCAA and -

Pubby I so much wish that you would publish the news accurately and quit trying to be the news. First Commissioner Carmichael did not quit his post in February as you imply but rather he quit his post on November 10 2015 arguably to save the County some money for a special election. This was something dreamed up by Commissioner Carmichael and others solely for the purpose or getting a head start on the competition in his race for Commission Chairman, THERE IS NO QUESTION THAT HE COULD HAVE QUIT HIS POST ON FEBRUARY 10, 2016 with the same results By quitting the post on November 10,2 -
Paulding Chamber being challanged on airport issue
WHITEY replied to WHITEY's topic in RECENT TOPICS
Tundra here is the facts on sewer and water if the county wants Sewer or water they Issue A bind through the IBA and build it. Case in point the City of Dallas through the IBA ran the sewerage line and built a treatment facility from Vista lake to the airport COST OVER $6,000,000,. The County put in water and sewerage at the new business park on Bill Carruth through the IBA they financed the buildings there, no taxes for many years. The water department which is a separate entity does not run water lines but the County does...... when it wants to and can charge tap fees to recover the -
Paulding Chamber being challanged on airport issue
WHITEY replied to WHITEY's topic in RECENT TOPICS
The record will reflect that David Austin and the water department was aware of the issue before it was raised at the Town Hall meeting. Again ....we can provide a $1,200, 000 bond issue for a water tank for the airport to increase water pressure for the Corporate hanger that already had water to the facility and build a $300,000,000 water treatment/reservoir to assist the city of Atlanta with their water problems but we can't run a water line down a existing road to a community and a church where the wells have ran dry.
