Someone needs to correct me if I am wrong LPPT a General Aviation airport can accommodate Charter service without the need for a 139 scheduled passenger service, and can also provide shuttle service up to certain limits McCollum is having charter service as I type. What we need is some folks who are willing to meet more that a average of 10 (ten) hours a year to provide the needed management to make our airport a success. We are in dire need of a airport director that has some experience and expertise on how to run a General aviation airport We need one authority attracting business

Insurgent Commissioners saved tax payers millions today
WHITEY replied to WHITEY's topic in RECENT TOPICS
Todd, Tony And Vernon have indeed been quite a refreshing change to the politics in Paulding County. It is very refreshing to see three citizens run a campaign on issues and actually live up to the campaign promises that they ran on. This is almost unheard of in Paulding County. -

Insurgent Commissioners saved tax payers millions today
WHITEY replied to WHITEY's topic in RECENT TOPICS
Oh Pubby I never said Todd did this alone Tony and Vernon were very, very instrumental in saving all this tax dollars You were at this meeting, sitting right beside me were you asleep when Vernon and Tony were speaking on this issue?? I do believe that Todd and the other commissioners will stop the dumping of sewerage into the creeks that flow into the river were we are planning to get our drinking water from. -
Insurgent Commissioners saved tax payers millions today

Tundra ...Boyd can't be bothered with building waste water treatment plants with the Hundreds of thousands of SPLOST tax dollars that Big brother negotiated for him, He has to build sidewalks that no body uses, and fancy streets and towering waterfalls....... forget the necessities that the citizens need and by all means we have to connect the city of Dallas to the Silver comet trail, While we dump raw sewerage into the very river that we are proposing to get our drinking water from WTH !!!!!! -
Insurgent Commissioners saved tax payers millions today
WHITEY replied to WHITEY's topic in RECENT TOPICS
Oh and don't forget all the fines that he paid for dumping the raw sewerage, Sort of reminds me of the City of Atlanta in regards to the dumping of raw sewerage...... Oh ..... Boyd didn't pay the fines the city residents did with one of the highest tax rates per capita in the state of Georgia, And you wonder why all the businesses are leaving Dallas?? -
During the Industrial Building Authority meeting held today in became apparent that the three commissioner's (Tony Crowe, Vernon Collett and Todd Pownall) who voted last BOC meeting to move the 911 center from the Airport property to the property in the North Industrial Park was indeed a smart move and actually saved the taxpayers of this County almost two million dollars in construction cost and Land cost. Blake Swafford Executive Director of the Industrial Building Authority announced today 8/11/2015 the proposed land the three commissioners plan to move the facility to was indeed owned by

LPPT yes I know that about 30 to 35 % of the folks in Paulding County feel the same way Pubby does, I do not think I have treated Pubby any differently than he has treated me, Stradial and some others on this forum. I like Pubby.. I sat next to him at the meeting where the issue in this thread was discussed, I shook hands with him and we talked. I think he is very bitter from the election and is having a difficult time accepting that Patti really put a trouncing on him. He really thought that he was going to beat Todd Pownall if he got to run against him in a general election, Prob

Pubby If the Millage rates in Clayton County and/or the City of Atlanta were levied on the Paulding County Residents their would be total outrage by the citizens. David cited the same Bull Chit that you did about the ad valorem taxes on the planes and a quick check with the Tax Commissioner revealed that about 30 planes are registered in Paulding County that generated about $60,000 in revenue. which is probably less that what the County Collects on Motor Homes and Travel Trailers, Not to mention Boats. I so wish you would deal in the truth!!!

Pubby the bolded above is a out and out lie that was first spoken By David Austin and now repeated by you WHY ARE YOU NOT ASHAMED!!!!! Shaking my head in Disgust with the lies being spread by the supporters of commercial passenger service. If the above statement had any truth to it whatsoever Clayton County And Fulton County property owners would not be paying any property taxes at all just take a look at how silly and stupid that statements really is. Literally hundreds of airplanes are BASED at Hartsfield and other major airports around the country and the counties in which these s

I did the 2003 bond was quite comical the dollars that was made more than once . And the 2011 bond that the IBA has failed to make the payment on that was due August 1st, 2015 just do the figures of how much the film studio cost and subtract that from the actual bond and you will see a couple of million that the IBA was using for the M&O and the salaries of the person managing the studio for about three years. When that money ran out the IBA quit paying SMH!!!! I still am not okay with the way the IGA agreement was drawn up pro bono by a attorney that was/has done business with the

Are you okay with allowing a investment firm from New York City to provide dollars to fight the citizens of Paulding County. In the Superior Court of Paulding County??? I am very interested in the issues of these lawsuits, and why the County and The PCAA are doing everything in their power to change the Industrial Building Authority's Constitutional Amendment that created the IBA so the suits will be a moot issue, And you should be concerned also. Just so you know all bonds by the IBA are backed by the property owners of Paulding County, The IBA did not make the required payment on the b

Pubby you can bash the messenger all you want but the facts remain 1 The PCAA made a huge mistake thinking they could compete with the City of Atlanta And Hartsfield Jackson airport. And as a result have spent huge sums of tax dollars in the Superior Court of Paulding County defending the actions that the PCAA took, Which has now overflowed into a Federal Court in Washington D.C. 2 The Inter Governmental Agreement written pro bono in secret by an attorney who admitted to doing this in a commissioner meeting really smells of something that is unethical, and really appears that it should n

Austin addresses state of the county at chamber luncheon
WHITEY replied to gpatt0n's topic in Fastread page
I am concerned that several thousand dollars have been spent on law suits. I am more concerned that millions of tax dollars has been secretly spent on the airport, And many many promises have been broken. It is quite refreshing that three of our commissioners are doing what they promised the citizens they would do -
I really thought it was silly for David and Dave to think that they compete dollars wise with the city of Atlanta. I guess that is why we collect $6,000,000 more in taxes this year and still we are unable to balance the budget? And the IBA is unable to pay their bills as well. On well the reserve fund won't dry up until 2017 at this rate so we just get back in that rut of TAX AND SPEND. Since most of the Board of directors from the Chamber don't live in Paulding we can't rely on them to pay any taxes to fight the City of Atlanta. Who in their right mind would sneak around an

I see you are now including the City of Atlanta, Glad you are coming around to the real world. Yep the city has already warned this huge metropolis that is rich in tax revenue AKA as Paulding County that if they violate the contract they agreed to when Atlanta sold them the 163 acres that they would pursue it in the courts. I am sure you know why we had to purchase that land right???? Ahh come on think hard Pubby!!! No secret here the City of Atlanta has already notified David Austin...... It would seem that anyone with common sense would be dealing with this now? Some of the

I do not proclaim to be a budget expert, but I do know how government works if you had left the $70,000 in the PCED they would of used it for things other than economic development and used the $200,000 additional money. Heck they already bought a sponsorship for the air show with some of the excess money. We have three different entitles doing economic development for Paulding County ..... The, IBA Chamber And the PCED I can only think of three or four company's that have been recruited here in the past three years.... And do know they were given millions in incentives tax breaks etc. How
