First Mr. Carmichael had until February 10, 2016 to resign from his post 1 job and save the same amount of dollars, either way a special election would need to be held for his unexpired term. As it stands now you will have two elections next year in post 1, One for the unexpired term in March 2016 to serve through December 31st 2016, Then another qualifying for the full 4 year term two months later in may. First I know of no one in our little group that has any idea what Todd's plans are, I have never heard him say that he has any desire to run for Chairman at this time. Things change and circumstances change. I really like Todd it the position that he has now, he ran a campaign in a open honest and transparent manner as being opposed to commercial passenger service. He got elected by a land slide on that campaign issue and has kept that campaign promise as of today and is well respected in his Post and should be. At yesterdays commissioners meeting Post # 1 Commissioner abruptly resigned from his commissioner job at the end of the meeting. Fact is the budget was not cut for the PCED as he contended in the E-mail Jamie was fired/ or resigned/or let go in last budget year and David Austin never replaced him for thus his Salary was in still in the previous budget, and they just reduced it that amount for the new budget. Pubby I am opposed to the airport because of the things a major airport brings to a community..... High crime, HIGH TAXES, bad schools. corruption, gangs, drugs. pollution, congestion, etc. Paulding county does not need this.
