Browndog, I noticed you were turning the fence boards around on my way to take my mother to the doctor's office. By the time I got back from Carrollton it was finished. I think I have some extra exterior paint (about the same color as the house). Don't mind helping you paint. I don't get off work until late, but could plan on Saturday. Let me know. (I live in the neighborhood as well.) So frustrating.

The empty house at the entrance of our subdivision was hit with the same graffiti today. Sometime after 3:00 am (my husband, brother, and sons just came in from fishing) and before 10:00 am when my brother came by after visiting my mother. The SO was in our subdivision yesterday patrolling. I hope that someone from the SO would share some general information.

I love the owner too. She does absolutely beautiful work and her baked goods are the best. Must try her raspberry filled cakes, and the Italian wedding cake.

Do you what time they plan to begin?

I loved last night's game. Not usually a Seahawks fan, but I grew up in Seattle and occasionally watch the Seahawks. What about Lynch's play last night. That was awesome. I really don't think anyone expected Seattle to win.

South Paulding Spartans - Fox5Sports Team of the Week

Voted Honestly believe that all Paulding teams should receive this honor once or twice (Go Hornets!). Good luck -
We would love to have you. So much planned for that night. Pink Out Game Announcement.doc

PINK OUT game at Hiram High School Friday, October 29, 2010. The Hiram Hornets and the Pope Greyhounds will be supporting breast cancer awareness. A lot of activities planned that evening. We'd love to have you join us. And, the boys are wearing pink ribbons on their helmets all month. We will be participating with East on 10/15 too. It's great to see all of our football teams showing their support. GO Hornets!!

I honestly believe the crosses that are being erected at the crash site is one way the teens are dealing with the grief of losing a friend. We all grieve in different ways -- I'm sure the teens have a complete understanding of what they are feeling. -
I'm not sure why the PM didn't go through. Thank you!! I will call.

I am in the process of helping my son complete some paperwork for enlistment. He worked part-time for Sparkles in Hiram for a couple of months. He can only remember the first name of the supervisor. If anyone knows the manager could you please send me a PM or email. I sent a message to NY Gal, thinking she was associated with Sparkles. Thanks

Ditto. Congratulations to all of Paulding's team. Must say my son is one excited Senior. Handing Hillgrove their 2nd loss in as many weeks was extremely exciting for Senior night. They are preparing for next week's battle against Sprayberry.

The Hiram Hornet football team is off to a great start this season. Please help support Paulding sports by casting your vote for Hiram High as Fox 5 Atlanta's Team of the Week. The Hornets would also appreciate your Vote to Bring WSB-TV to the Hiram @ South Paulding game Friday, October 9. It has been an awesome season to date with North Paulding voted in as Fox 5's Team of the Week and coverage of the South Paulding @ Hillgrove and East Paulding @ McEachern games. Way to go to all Paulding County football teams.

I was surprised that Cass didn't utilize the Mercy Rule as well. And, thanks. He loves the game and is going to miss it terribly. Well, that is if he doesn't play in college. One never knows.

GHSA rules state that if an opponent is behind more than 30 points at Half Time they may implement the "Mercy Rule". The coach of the trailing team may choose to have the clock run. In tonight's game the Hornets were ahead 31 - 0 at the half and the Northgate coach chose to implement this rule. I have to tell you that I've been a Hornet mom for 4 years -- my son is a senior -- and I only learned about this rule recently. Isn't it funny that it took me four years to finally understand the game (well, maybe understand the game)?

A Special Thanks from My Daughter, my soldier
kjohnson625 replied to kjohnson625's topic in RECENT TOPICS
Absolutely. She loves her job -- I don't think she ever realized that people she didn't know would show her honor because of her choice of careers. My intent was that someone on here would be able to pass along her thank you -- or read it. -
I received a text message from daughter about 5:30 this evening. The story she shared with me brought tears to my eyes and hers. My daughter is an MP in the U.S. Army, now serving with the Georgia National Guard as she pursues her bachelor's degree in criminal justice. She has only recently returned to Georgia from Ft. Leonard Wood, MO. This afternoon she was returning to Hiram from Dobbins AFB and needed to stop by her bank -- Bank of America in Hiram. Of course whenever she reports to duty or has military business to conduct on base, she is dressed in her ACUs. So, she entered the
